The morning sunlight filters through the lush branches of the magnolia tree.
This massive magnolia tree is over a thousand years old and the biggest attraction of the Wan Family’s old residence. The small courtyard is almost completely shaded by this magnolia tree, with quaint bluestone slabs and little blossoms of red and yellow scattered about.
The chess ga on the Eight Immortals table hasn’t been set up yet. Empress Dowager Liu has already finished her Tai Chi after changing into loose-fitting clothes.
