"A month from now, at my company, you must co! I’ll be waiting for you," Long Shangxuan quickly reminded her.
"Oh... what if... I can’t make it?" Hua Xiaomo deliberately raised her voice, a teasing lilt to her tone.
Long Shangxuan was taken aback at first, but he quickly understood the teasing in her words. "If you dare not co, your Brother Long will storm into your house and tie you up! I don’t care. You’re mine! You have to co with !"
Those last two sentences were undoubtedly domineering and overbearing, making Hua Xiaomo’s ears turn a little red.

Hua Xiaomo’s thoughts made her flush. Alright, even though he still hadn’t said ’I like you,’ his invitation to his company surely ant he wanted to develop things further, right?
She... she definitely couldn’t miss this opportunity.
A wave of joy washed over Hua Xiaomo, and she was just about to head upstairs when she saw soone standing in the shadows of the corridor.
"Damn! Xia Shuangming, why is it you?" Hua Xiaomo froze.
This guy was incredibly stealthy. Had he been standing there all along? Anyone who didn’t know might have mistaken him for a ghost!

He wore that platinum crown mask, concealing everything above the bridge of his nose, revealing only the lower half of his face and the elegant curve of his jaw.
His sharp black tailcoat made him appear exceptionally tall and slender.
"What are you doing at my house?" Hua Xiaomo frowned.
"What, you don’t want to see ?" Xia Shuangming smiled, a faint, mysterious glow emanating from his masked face.
"I’m here to remind you about the item at Gasia’s Auction on the first of October... You must get it for ," Xia Shuangming stated, his tone slightly heavy.
"I know, stop nagging," Hua Xiaomo replied tersely, then moved to go upstairs, brushing past him.
Suddenly, he reached out and grabbed her elbow. "Little K... are you in love?"
"Uh..." Hua Xiaomo faltered, an inexplicable turmoil stirring in her mind. She snatched her hand back and offered him a cool, detached smile.
"Xia Shuangming, I’ll get you the Blue Moon you want. As for anything else... it’s none of your business," Hua Xiaomo said, her lip curling in a sneer.
Beneath the platinum mask, a flicker of shadowed confusion crossed Xia Shuangming’s eyes. He said softly, "I’m not trying to ddle, just reminding you... don’t trust a man’s words too easily."
Hua Xiaomo pursed her lips into a smile. "Hey... you’re so strange. Aren’t you a man yourself? And I trust you, don’t I?" She then waved him away. "Go on, go on. Don’t co back. I’ll call you when I have it."
Xia Shuangming said nothing more, but a shadow of unspoken disappointnt flickered deep in his eyes...
He turned and left quickly.
As for why, even he was sowhat unclear. Hadn’t he always been indifferent to her?
Of course, that was with the exception of tis when she was involved with valuable stolen goods that concerned him. Only then would he pay special attention to her current situation. He didn’t want her to make any emotional mistakes during a mission that could jeopardize its smooth progress.
A faint mist seed to cloud Xia Shuangming’s eyes as he stared, unblinking, at the light from her room for a long mont.
