"Heh, you look so nervous. Alright, go back to work. First, review this stack of docunts and imdiately reject any with typos," Qi Longbing said crisply and decisively, handing over a few drafts.
"Oh," Hua Xiaomo replied, taking the docunts. She saw ’Promotional Copy for Qi Imperial Court’ written on them. It seed there were several different advertising proposals inside.
After thinking for a mont, Hua Xiaomo asked in confusion, "President Qi, may I ask, what does ’reject’ an?"
Upon hearing this, Qi Longbing raised his head, his smile more forced than genuine. "It ans... that company is out of the ga, no longer qualified to participate in the bidding."

She looked at the files; they consisted of advertising proposals from at least a dozen companies.
Qi Longbing glanced at her but said nothing more.
The two sat in silence, each engrossed in their own tasks.
It wasn’t until a gnawing hunger finally gripped her stomach that Hua Xiaomo glanced at the computer clock—it wasn’t even ten yet.
But she was already so hungry!
Hua Xiaomo pulled open a drawer, her eyes lingering on the two precious eggs inside. She quickly tucked one into her pocket and stood up, ready to sneak out while he was engrossed in his work.
Suddenly, "Where are you going?" a deep, magnetic voice echoed in the room.
Startled, Hua Xiaomo froze. "I... I just needed to use the restroom."
"This is the president’s office, no less equipped than a presidential suite. It has everything. Why would you need to go outside?" Qi Longbing said without looking up, his gaze still fixed on the docunts. His pen, however, pointed to the room opposite her.
"Oh," Hua Xiaomo replied, her steps, originally heading for the office door, now diverted towards the bathroom within the president’s office.
CLICK. Hua Xiaomo shut the restroom door, imdiately took the egg from her pocket, plopped down on the closed toilet lid, and quickly began to peel it.
Oh my goodness, I’m starving! Hua Xiaomo thought as she wolfed down the egg, instantly regretting not having brought the other one too.
She looked around the restroom; there was even a huge bathtub! Everything was luxuriously appointed, no less impressive than a deluxe hotel.
Just as Hua Xiaomo was about to leave, she suddenly heard voices from outside.
Huh? Did soone co in?
Curious, Hua Xiaomo couldn’t help but cautiously open the door a crack to peek out.
She saw an elegant female figure entering, clad in a stunning red, looking very chic!
What a beauty! Absolutely gorgeous! But when Hua Xiaomo got a closer look at her face, she recognized her imdiately.
Who else could it be but Miss Pan Yutong?
Instantly, Hua Xiaomo felt hesitant.
She’s his girlfriend. Coming to see him now, they might get all lovey-dovey in the office. How awkward would it be if soone saw them!
Sigh, she knew working in this office was so inconvenient. She should have moved out like Ms. Lin and Ms. Zhang; then she wouldn’t be in their way.
Just as she was thinking this, the voices from outside beca more distinct.
"Why are you here?" Qi Longbing raised his head, his eyes narrowed slightly.
"I was handling so business nearby and thought I’d co up and see you," Pan Yutong said, swaying gracefully as she walked over to him, her exquisite face beaming with an elegant smile.
"Ah Bing, why didn’t you answer my call yesterday?" Pan Yutong asked, her voice soft and her smile gentle.
Hearing this, Qi Longbing looked up with a faint smile. "If I didn’t answer, there was a reason, wasn’t there?"
