"All right, I’ll have my secretary imdiately revise the contract’s tiline, and then we will sign it this afternoon as agreed," Hua Xiaomo said slowly, looking at Qi Longbing.
Qi Longbing smiled, looked at Hua Xiaomo, and beckoned her over. "Co here, baby."
Hua Xiaomo’s eyes darkened, but almost imdiately, a wave of repulsion crept into her heart. "President Qi, we are still at the company!"
"What does it matter? Isn’t this your chairman’s office? Don’t you have a door right there? Aren’t we the only two people here?" Qi Longbing said with a smile. Seeing Hua Xiaomo’s suddenly embarrassed face, he found it amusing, seemingly enjoying toying with her.
Hua Xiaomo frowned slightly as she listened. "Maybe let’s not, President Qi? I promised you before that I’d just be your secret lover. We’re supposed to maintain this relationship privately, without bringing it into the spotlight. Besides, although this is my chairman’s office, people can still co in at any ti. If soone else saw the two of us... it wouldn’t be good."
Qi Longbing smiled, looked at her serious expression, and shrugged. "It doesn’t matter then. Let’s do it tonight. You’ll accompany tonight, and we’ll properly celebrate our partnership."
A helpless smile touched Hua Xiaomo’s face. She wanted to refuse, but could she? She had no way to refuse him—after all, the contract hadn’t been signed yet. First, she needed to sign this contract, get through the company’s current crisis, and then she could think about other things.
At that mont, there was a knock on the chairman’s office door. Hua Xiaomo glanced at Qi Longbing. He was still sitting in her seat, unwilling to get up, which sowhat annoyed her.
This was, after all, her office. What was he doing, sitting there so brazenly? If her employees saw it, they might think sothing was going on!
But it seed Qi Longbing didn’t pick up on her expression, still sitting leisurely in her seat, smiling in a way that seed particularly mischievous.
Hua Xiaomo spoke with a hint of impatience. "President Qi, could you please get up? My employee is coming in."
Qi Longbing smiled as he looked at her. "Are you that afraid of your employees seeing?"
Hua Xiaomo frowned and thought for a mont before speaking. "After all, this was sothing we agreed on. You can’t go back on your word!"
"Fine, I’ll get up. I’ll leave this seat for you. I’m not cut out to be a chairman, but you are," Qi Longbing said, standing up and walking beside her with a smile. Then he nonchalantly plopped down on the sofa behind her, comfortably crossing his legs.
Only then did Hua Xiaomo look at the door. "Co in."
"Chairman, I’ve brought the docunts you asked for," the secretary said to Hua Xiaomo, but her gaze quickly shifted to the man sitting on the sofa near Hua Xiaomo.
She had heard he was the boss of a major enterprise in City A. Wow, he looked really handso, and his deanor seed so masculine!
The young secretary couldn’t help but stare, transfixed, at Qi Longbing, her eyes hardly blinking. However, she didn’t dare to look too directly, afraid her boss might disapprove.
Qi Longbing easily caught the young secretary’s subtle expressions, finding it amusing. Why did Hua Xiaomo always like hiring these recent university graduates, or perhaps those who hadn’t even graduated yet? However, such tender young girls were really not his type. It was strange when he thought about it. When he had first t Hua Xiaomo, she was also an undergraduate who hadn’t graduated yet. Still, he had been smitten with this greenhorn, and now he simply couldn’t stop. In the end, they had known each other for over six years. This period was neither too long nor too short. And now, his interest in her hadn’t diminished one bit; instead, it seed to deepen. This was truly beyond his expectations. Indeed, he had never thought he would beco so captivated by her.
Hua Xiaomo didn’t even glance at the docunt and simply said, "Go change the term at the end from twenty years to perpetual, then bring another copy."
"Alright, Chairman," said the young secretary. She then left, but not before stealing a glance from the corner of her eye at Qi Longbing, who was sitting on the sofa.
An involuntary flush spread across her cheeks. The man was truly charming, and it seed like he was looking at her! Oh my, was he really looking at her? No, her face was getting too red.
The young secretary shyly closed the door behind them, her heart pounding fiercely in that mont.
After the door to the Chairman’s office closed, Qi Longbing couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Hua Xiaomo turned her head to look at his strangely smiling countenance and couldn’t help but ask, "What’s so funny, President Qi? If you’re interested in my secretary, I can give you her contact information."
Naturally, she had seen all the seemingly flirtatious exchanges between Qi Longbing and the young secretary. However, calling it flirtatious might be a stretch. For a young and inexperienced girl facing an old fox like Qi Longbing, she was utterly helpless against his impressive aura and appearance, completely captivated.
Hearing her words, Qi Longbing’s eyes narrowed slightly. He reached for her hand, and with a sudden, firm tug, pulled the standing Hua Xiaomo into his embrace.
"What’s wrong, are you angry? How could I be interested in that girl? You silly thing, getting jealous over nothing like that. Aren’t you tired?" Qi Longbing said with a laugh, his hand already on Hua Xiaomo’s shoulder, gazing directly at her face.
"I’m not jealous. Don’t get the wrong idea," Hua Xiaomo replied nonchalantly, quickly turning her face away. Just as she was thinking of sothing and about to stand up, Qi Longbing’s arms instantly wrapped around her waist.
His head rested against her shoulder, his words whispering beside her ear. "Are you really not jealous? Then tell , what are you feeling right now?" Qi Longbing asked with a smile, a mischievous expression playing on his devastatingly handso face. His eyes darted playfully as a torrent of mischievous ideas flooded his mind.
Hua Xiaomo, flustered by the question, blushed slightly. "You’re so annoying! I don’t feel anything!"
"Really, you feel nothing? Stop lying to . Weren’t you really angry just now? But don’t worry, I’m not interested in such naive kids," Qi Longbing reassured her with a smile, his hands still wrapped around her waist, instinctively moving them higher.
