One should live with excellence, like I do now. Whenever I think about these things, my eyes gleam with a golden light. I think of my daughter and of her future.
Well, at this mont, I feel I should think more about the connection between myself, Candy, and Qi Longbing, the three of us.
Life always moves forward, after all.
If our family can stay together, eventually we’ll overco all obstacles and unite. I always think this way.
"Sure, I think the breakfast here seems pretty good too, so I’ll just start with that. Oh, and for drinks, can I have a signature milk tea? I think milk tea is quite nice. Nothing else is needed because you’ve already ordered plenty. Besides, we still have to eat lunch and dinner, right?" No sooner had Qi Longbing finished speaking than Hua Xiaomo gave him a curious glance.
Qi Longbing, seeing the odd look in Hua Xiaomo’s eyes, couldn’t help but ask, "Hua Xiaomo, what’s wrong? Did I say sothing wrong? Why are you looking at with that expression? It’s really strange! If I did say sothing wrong, would you mind correcting ?"
"Of course, you got sothing wrong! Look at the ti. It’s almost 10:30. This al is actually our breakfast and lunch combined; we won’t be having a separate lunch. So, you’d better eat your fill now, because we’ll head straight to dinner later. Dinner might be a longer affair, you know? I figure after this, you should go back to the hotel and sleep. Then, around 5:30 in the afternoon, you should wake up, co to my office, and we can pick up the kid together. Does that sound good?" Hua Xiaomo quickly said.
Qi Longbing looked at Hua Xiaomo and gave a helpless smile. Since she had put it that way, there wasn’t much room for him to object. Alright then, he thought, she can finish her rice noodles first while he has his pasta. Once they were both full, she could go to work and he could return to the hotel to rest. That didn’t sound too bad.
"Alright then, I’ll do as you say. Hua Xiaomo, do you see how I really listen to you? Hua Xiaomo, you know, I really missed you on the airplane. I kept thinking about what kind of scene it would be once we t," Qi Longbing said with a laugh.
At that mont, seeing the smile on Hua Xiaomo’s face, he felt that they truly were fated. Otherwise, how could they have so many stories between them?
From the ti they t to now, countless stories could fill a thick book!
So day, he must find a reporter or an author who could write a book about their love story titled "The Love Story of Him and Hua Xiaomo."
If the book turned out well, he believed it would sell like hotcakes. At this thought, he even felt an urge to publish it himself, haha. It seed that the Qi Imperial Court’s business could expand further.
"Really? Did you miss that much? Then hurry up and eat that bowl of rice noodles, and after you finish your milk tea, go back to the hotel and rest. I might have a eting this afternoon. Once it’s over, I’ll give you a call, okay? Then you can co pick up. It’ll be the sa as always."
"If you co too early, I might still be in my eting. If it’s not over, you’d just be waiting outside for no reason, and that’s not too good," Hua Xiaomo said to Qi Longbing, her heart feeling content in that mont.
She thought of Qi Longbing as a very competent husband and father.
But talking about these things now is still premature. The key was for him to divorce Pan Yutong as soon as possible. After the divorce, and then being together with her and their child, the family would really be complete, right?
She would wait for that mont to co to fruition, of course. As long as the three of them worked hard together, they could accomplish anything. And she believed that, with Candy in the mix, her relationship with Qi Longbing would grow even more harmonious because she noticed that since Candy’s arrival, Qi Longbing was gradually changing and becoming more like the ideal man she had envisioned. Well, she did think Qi Longbing was quite good.
Qi Longbing ate a bowl of rice noodles, and Hua Xiaomo ate a bowl of pasta; both enjoyed their al imnsely.
After eating for quite so ti, when it was ti to leave, Qi Longbing looked at Hua Xiaomo, sowhat reluctant to part. He held her hand, his handso face glowing.
"Hua Xiaomo, don’t work too hard. I think your work is incredibly exhausting—etings in the morning, etings in the afternoon. Gosh, I truly didn’t realize running a gaming company was so tiring!
"By the way, if you’re really tired, you could take a long break to relax. There’s no need to work just for the sake of working. It’s important to know how to balance life, understand? Don’t be so exhausted from now on, or I’ll worry. What if you wear yourself out? You know I’d be heartbroken, right?
"And our daughter too; she and I would both be heartbroken. If you’re not well, you can’t watch big movies with us or go to the amusent park and zoo together. If you couldn’t be there with us, our daughter would be so sad, and so would I. So, the most important thing is to take care of your health. Health is the real wealth. With good health, you have everything; without it, you have nothing, right? All the money in the world would be useless then. So, do you think what I’m saying makes any sense?"
Hua Xiaomo listened to his lengthy spiel, a gentle smile gracing her face.
She hadn’t expected Qi Longbing to be so caring. His concern was really effective at that mont.
She thought he was quite a good man. Well, she found that Qi Longbing was becoming gentler and more adorable, and she felt that he and Candy were becoming more alike. Candy was also becoming more obedient, which was great. She felt that having these two people by her side forever would make her the happiest woman in the world.
"Okay, okay, just go back to the hotel now. You’re staying at the Rose Hotel, right? Then head on back and rest. I’ll call you later. And rember, get so good rest. Don’t just watch TV in the hotel. Watching too much TV can affect your sleep, you know?"
