Hua Xiaomo nodded. Without saying much more, she quickly left the bar and returned ho. After freshening herself up, she finally erged.
But as she looked at herself in the mirror, she knew that no matter how much she tried to clean herself up, she couldn’t erase the traces left from last night. She even felt that certain things had progressed inexplicably, and she didn’t know if they were right or wrong. It felt as if things were completely out of her control. What had co over her last night? She had actually ended up with him; she had accepted him.
Could it be that deep down, she had already fallen in love with Zi Yunsui? Had she already fallen for this young man with whom she had started a company? But regardless, she was already with him.
"Mom, Mom, what’s wrong? You seem to be daydreaming. Oh, right, I need to go to school. Mom, can you take to school, please!" Little Candy said, looking at Hua Xiaomo, her beautiful eyes twinkling.
Hua Xiaomo looked at Candy and slowly smiled. "Okay, Candy, I’ll take you to school. We’re going to have a good day at school today. Now, Candy, you must listen to your teacher, don’t be naughty, and don’t disobey her, understand?"
"Alright, alright, Mom, you always say that. I know, okay? I’m the best in class; the teacher loves , and my classmates love too. I’m the very best kid, you know! And I’m also our class president! Mom, see how great I am!" Little Candy said to Hua Xiaomo, then blinked her eyes innocently, looking utterly adorable.
Hua Xiaomo then took Little Candy to school. It wasn’t until she had dropped Candy off at kindergarten that she drove to her Purple Demon Immortal Inquiry Company.
When she arrived at the company and had just stepped through the door of her chairman’s office, she saw a figure sitting inside. The figure was slender and tall, and the young man possessed such a handso face that Hua Xiaomo found it difficult to look away.
Zi Yunsui quickly lifted his head, looked at Hua Xiaomo, and walked towards her. "You’re here, Hua Xiaomo. I’ve been waiting for you. Has Candy been taken to school?"
Hua Xiaomo looked at him and gave an awkward smile.
Then, without saying anything else, Hua Xiaomo walked to her seat. But before she could sit down, his hand grabbed hers.
"I love you. Let’s get married, Hua Xiaomo," Zi Yunsui said once again. At this mont, he felt he simply couldn’t be without Hua Xiaomo. He truly liked Hua Xiaomo. He hoped Hua Xiaomo would accept him as her husband.
Hua Xiaomo turned her head, trying to pull her hand away, but he held on to it firmly!
She looked at him, feeling a surge of nervousness. At that mont, she really didn’t know what to say. She had always felt they were just business partners. She believed being partners was good enough and that they shouldn’t pursue anything more, as it wouldn’t lead to a good outco for either of them. Hua Xiaomo truly didn’t understand why their relationship had developed to this point. Weren’t things fine before? They had returned to their separate paths, yet, unexpectedly, they were together again.
"I really, really like you, Xiao Mo. Please say yes, okay? Hua Xiaomo, I’ll be good to Candy, and I’ll be good to you. I truly love you both. Do you believe ?" Zi Yunsui implored, his gaze earnest.
An urgent need to express his innermost feelings surged in his heart. He truly liked her, but her current hesitant deanor made it difficult for him to understand what she was truly thinking. However, no matter her thoughts, he wouldn’t let go of her hand again. Because he felt that Hua Xiaomo was his everything in life; he truly liked Hua Xiaomo, and he loved Candy too. He had co to see them both as his entire world. For these two, he felt he could make any sacrifice and strive for anything. He truly believed this, and it gave him courage. So why shouldn’t he boldly express his love? Since he loved her, he should declare it bravely! He absolutely could not let her leave him again; if she did, he felt he would lose his life’s anchor. He would feel adrift, and life itself would seem aningless. This connection was vital, absolutely crucial; he couldn’t be without her. Yes, this was everything he wanted to tell her. He hoped she could understand his current feelings, his situation, and his intentions.
He didn’t want to marry Ye Xiangxue. He felt that, no matter how one looked at it, there was no love between them. Marrying soone rely to repay a debt of gratitude would be irresponsible to her and to himself. No matter what, he wouldn’t let Hua Xiaomo leave him. He liked Hua Xiaomo, he loved Candy, and he wanted them both to live happily together. Yes, everything he was doing was to make them both happy. He truly wanted their happiness, and this feeling grew stronger and stronger. He had considered so many things, because he felt that if Hua Xiaomo were with Qi Longbing, she could never find happiness. Only with him could she possibly be happy.
Hua Xiaomo looked at him, a pained expression in her eyes, not knowing what to say. She felt their lives had beco entangled once more, stirring up indescribable emotions between them.
"Please don’t be like this, Zi Yunsui," Hua Xiaomo said, her voice strained. "I think you need to calm down, really calm down. I an, you and Ye Xiangxue are about to be married. You can’t think this way anymore. Are you and Ye Xiangxue truly together then?" she asked, not entirely sure why she had to voice that last question.
Zi Yunsui looked at her and shook his head. "How could I be with her? In this lifeti, you’re the only woman for . Please, say you’ll marry , okay? I’ll be good to you. Weren’t we so happy together? Singing together, sharing those happy monts—it all felt truly unforgettable."
