When the three of them saw Qi Longbing leading Hua Xiaomo in by the hand, their expressions turned sowhat gloomy. This was especially true for Pan Yutong, whose shock was palpable.
However, Miss Pan quickly adjusted her composure and hurried towards them, a wide smile on her face. "Ah Bing, you’re back. You must be exhausted, right?"
Her lovely, large eyes were fixed entirely on Qi Longbing, deliberately ignoring the other person.
Hua Xiaomo, however, seed unaffected. She was rely pondering how to make the true manager of the Qi Family genuinely dislike her.
And just as this thought crossed her mind, Hua Xiaomo was startled to realize that Old Master Qi’s gaze had been fixed on her ever since she entered the room.
This won’t do. I need to put on a bit of an act.
"Oh, excuse ," Hua Xiaomo said, deliberately pulling her hand from Qi Longbing’s grasp and clutching her stomach with the other. "My stomach suddenly hurts terribly. I need to use the restroom."
As soon as these words were spoken, Stepmother Shen Qingxiang frowned and muttered, "Such appalling manners, and with guests present too!"
Qi Longbing glanced indifferently at the nearby servant. "Aunt Wang, accompany Miss Hua to my room to use the bathroom."
"Huh?" Hua Xiaomo froze. Use the bathroom? And specifically in *his* room? What did that an? Was he deliberately putting on a show of affection in front of everyone?
Alright, but she couldn’t just go along with this! She had to create a bad impression, and quickly. Above all, she mustn’t show any sign of being interested in him. Otherwise, if the old master doted on his precious grandson and granted his wishes, what would beco of her?
Qi Longbing gave her a charming smile. "Darling, don’t you always insist on using the bathroom in my room every ti? And you even want to accompany you?"
Like hell! Who would want you to accompany them to the bathroom? That’s disgusting!
Hua Xiaomo forced a laugh and said with feigned coyness, "Oh, I don’t need you to co with this ti! Grandpa is here, so you should keep him company. I’ll go by myself. Don’t wait for ! You all go ahead and get a room—I an, start eating! Haha!"
Then, as if her butt were on fire, she bolted towards the first-floor bathroom.
Seeing Hua Xiaomo clutching her stomach and rushing off, the others present could no longer hold back their criticisms.
"She’s utterly lacking in manners!" Shen Qingxiang frowned. "Whose child is this? Seeing all of us here and not even bothering to greet anyone?"
Master Qi, seated on the sofa, rely offered a faint smile and remained silent.
Miss Pan Yutong, however, was so furious her face flushed crimson. Listening to their earlier exchange, it was clear they were deliberately slighting her.
"Old Master Qi, Aunt Shen, I apologize. Sothing has just co up, and I must be leaving," Pan Yutong said, her lovely face flushed beet-red with humiliation.
She had expected Qi Longbing to ask her to stay, but he just stood by, silently watching as if enjoying a good show. This made Pan Yutong’s face, already flushed, turn pale with anger.
Could it be that he had actually taken a fancy to that uncouth girl? Why? Why had his taste changed so drastically? Compared to the last ti at the Cops Aima Dynasty Club, Hua Xiaomo seed even less feminine this ti. Short hair, a floral-sleeved shirt, jeans, speaking so casually—she didn’t resemble a lady in the slightest. Damn it! What is this woman trying to achieve? How does she manage to keep his gaze so firmly fixed on her? How could Qi Longbing possibly like such a woman? Impossible! I truly believe he couldn’t possibly like her.
