Just like with Qi Longbing, they could only be friends. It was impossible for them to continue, at least for now. Well, who could say what the future held? Perhaps temporary separations were necessary to realize what one truly wanted, to clearly see what their future might entail.
Regardless, she always hoped both of them could find happiness. She also hoped she wouldn’t hurt anyone, believing that such joy was sothing everyone deserved. True happiness, she felt, was when everyone was happy. If she selfishly held onto happiness while hurting others, she imagined she would feel imnse pain, not joy.
Hua Xiaomo smiled at Qi Longbing. "I’m sorry, I need to take a call," she said, then moved to the balcony. "Zi Yunsui, it’s you! What’s up? Oh, by the way, have you picked up Candy? Is she being good? You can play with her, take her to a movie, or even to the amusent park. Besides that, I hope you can spend more ti talking with her."
"I feel like you haven’t spent much ti with her lately. If you could have so happy monts with Candy, I’d be really glad. Also, I might be ho late tonight, so I hope you can look after my daughter for . She really likes you, you know? She’s missed you so much while you haven’t been with us. I hope you can spend so quality ti with Candy at our ho."
Hearing her words, Zi Yunsui felt a deep sense of comfort. He knew Hua Xiaomo still cared for him and for Candy. He hoped he could connect well with the child and truly beco part of their family; the thought made him extrely happy. No matter how Hua Xiaomo’s conversation with Qi Longbing went tonight, he believed he needed to be understanding and patient. He also hoped Hua Xiaomo would genuinely fall in love with him and reject Qi Longbing. True happiness, he felt, would be if he and Hua Xiaomo were together.

As Zi Yunsui spoke, his mood was utterly joyous. Many thoughts filled his mind. Watching Candy as she was now, he felt extrely elated; the world seed so much happier with her and Hua Xiaomo in it. Life wasn’t just monotonous work anymore. He had found the happiness he once only imagined. Perhaps, many years ago, when he left Arica with Hua Xiaomo, this desire to be with her and her daughter had already taken root. Back then, Hua Xiaomo and her child had faced considerable hardship. He had taken it upon himself to care for them, and together, they started a gaming business. After a long period of hard work, they finally accumulated significant wealth, reaching a point where financial worries were a thing of the past. After all they had been through together, their bond felt like both kinship and love. He felt he couldn’t be apart from them; Hua Xiaomo and Candy had beco the center of his life. Love, family... he believed that having Hua Xiaomo and Candy ant having everything.
Hua Xiaomo said nothing, unsure of what to reply. Sotis, she mused, others’ thoughts couldn’t align with one’s own. In any case, one had to stick to their convictions. Why care about others’ opinions or live in their world? Living in one’s own world was the most inspiring and aningful path.

Alright, I won’t keep you any longer. Shall we hang up now?" Hua Xiaomo said with a smile. At that mont, her thoughts were entirely on Candy.
Candy must be very happy, mustn’t she? With Zi Yunsui there, she’d surely have a contented smile. Yes, Candy would be happy. Her mind filled with thoughts of Candy and many other things, many other people. She really didn’t want to complicate matters. Overthinking emotional issues only added unnecessary burdens.
She simply wanted Candy to have a beautiful tomorrow, an exceptionally bright future. Everyone’s future was for themselves and for those around them. She hoped each person would create and strive for their own future. She hoped that Zi Yunsui, through his efforts, could bring happiness to Candy, and she, too, hoped to bring warmth to her daughter through her own hard work.
