"Ugh..." What does he an he didn’t misjudge **? I’m really going to faint. He was just looking for faults in .
Suddenly, there was a noise from outside the door.
"Okay, hurry up and go. President Qi is probably back."
"Aunt Wang, about what I told you..."
"Don’t worry, I’ve packed and kept everything for you."
"Wow, Aunt Wang, you’re so nice!"
Hua Xiaomo, beaming, gave her a big hug and a laugh, then left the kitchen.
When she saw him, she awkwardly looked away, but managed to say, "President Qi, you’re back?"
He didn’t answer. Instead, his blue eyes fixated on the light blue shirt she wore. "That color’s not bad."
"Oh... really?" Hua Xiaomo smiled. She couldn’t help but recall what Zhou Xiyang had said and, trying to make conversation, began, "President Qi, today... did you..."
She stopped abruptly. Why should I care about such things? Never mind, better not ask.
Qi Longbing glanced at her, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Hua Xiaomo, what were you trying to say?"
"Nothing... nothing at all."
Qi Longbing smiled to himself, plopped down on the sofa, and commanded, "Go make a cup of coffee. Half a spoon of sugar."
"Oh." Hua Xiaomo responded, quickly prepared a cup of coffee, and brought it to him.
Qi Longbing had just taken a sip when he frowned. "Didn’t I ask you to add half a spoon of sugar? How much did you put?"
"Not much, just a spoonful..." Hua Xiaomo answered sheepishly. Damn! What’s the difference between one spoon and half a spoon? Who can be so precise with such a tiny tal spoon?!
Is this guy part dog or sothing? How can his nose and tongue be so sensitive?
"A spoonful? You have the nerve to say that? So you completely ignored what I told you?" Qi Longbing said coldly. He then stood up, walked over to the bar, and ordered, "Co here."
Hua Xiaomo followed him and saw him take a small asuring cup from a compartnt.
"Every ti, you need to asure it out in this before adding it. Got it? Don’t make say it a second ti. Understand?" Qi Longbing’s blue eyes carried a hint of severity. This woman doesn’t seem stupid. Why is she always a beat slow in her actions?
Hua Xiaomo didn’t speak. But when he turned away, she muttered, "Making such a fuss over small details, just like a woman..."
"What did you say?" Qi Longbing turned to look at her, not having quite heard what she mumbled.
"...I was saying, President Qi is such a ticulous and good man!" Hua Xiaomo quickly forced a smile and chuckled.
It’s not like I actually think he’s ticulous or anything—that was just necessary flattery. Sotis, not telling the truth is better than telling it, right? Especially with *this* guy... this guy... Ugh, I don’t want to talk to him anymore. My mouth is so dry from all this talking, my throat’s parched!
"You just realized that?" Qi Longbing’s handso face imdiately broke into a smile. He grasped her slender hand and chuckled, "Follow from now on, and you’ll find out I have many more good qualities..."
YUCK...
Her reaction made Qi Longbing imdiately turn his face towards her, an inexplicable feeling surging within him. Seeing the unsettled expression on her face, Qi Longbing leaned close to her ear. "What’s wrong? Want to check you out?"
Like hell!
Hua Xiaomo imdiately withdrew her hand and decisively stepped back a few paces, keeping a safe distance between them.
Getting too close would jeopardize my safety—alright. I need to stay vigilant around this man. I won’t get too close to him because I feel we don’t have much in common. Right, what could we possibly have in common? I’m an art student, and he’s a big-shot CEO—we just have no common ground at all.
