Lu Jingchen heard the words, his eyes intently fixed on her, and instead of answering, he asked, "Qiaoqiao, what about you? What do you want to do?"
"I don’t know." Song Qiao bit her lip, looking troubled, and said, "After all, Murong Rui’s status is too special. Maybe my parents really did kill her parents, who knows? And... there are feelings between you and her, right?"
"After all, it was her parents who saved your life back then. If it weren’t for them, maybe we wouldn’t be like this now." Song Qiao gazed steadily at Lu Jingchen, saying words she’d always wanted to express, "I know you don’t know what to do either, otherwise... shall we go with the flow? Sound good? Besides, I’m unhard now, am I not? And I’ve even reunited with my brother."
Her voice was soft and coy, even though she heard that Murong Rui might also be involved, she didn’t seem to bla her at all, instead, she felt a bit sympathetic for her.
Lu Jingchen looked at Song Qiao but was reminded of the hatred in Murong Rui’s eyes when looking at her, making him inadvertently furrow his brow.
Song Qiao saw Lu Jingchen’s silence, and the man even furrowed his brow, which made her feel puzzled, so she waved her hand in front of him, "What’s wrong with you? What are you thinking?"
Lu Jingchen snapped back to reality, his gaze fell upon Song Qiao, full of deep affection, and he grinned slightly, speaking tenderly to her, "Nothing, just thinking how marrying you must an I saved the galaxy in my previous life."
Song Qiao was taken aback, her face instantly turning red, even her ears felt a bit hot, as she teasingly replied, "When did you beco so sweet-talking? This doesn’t sound like you at all."
The man was montarily bewildered, "Did I say sothing wrong?"
Song Qiao looked at him, amused, and held his large hand, gazing down at his fingers, saying, "No, I also feel like marrying you ans I saved the galaxy in my past life. You know... I never thought I’d marry you and spend a lifeti together."
Without waiting for him to speak, she continued, "I never imagined our relationship would have so many twists, like a drama. Fortunately... we’re together now..."
Having been with Lu Jingchen for so long, she’s felt touched, sad, disappointed, even despairing, but mostly surprised and happy.
She could feel that Lu Jingchen truly loves her, a love that penetrates to the bone.
She is ready to spend her life with him, to continue the days ahead, after all, they’ve already had two children, haven’t they?
The man heard her soft words, coming straight from her heart, and felt a tremor throughout, an itch in his own heart.
He took Song Qiao’s hand, bringing it to his lips for a kiss, his gaze intense as he said, "Qiaoqiao, we’re the sa."
...
After Murong Rui left Lu Jingchen’s office, she was unsettled, almost trembling with anger.
Standing in front of the office building, she stared at the road ahead, nearly overwheld with hatred, wishing she could rush in and tear Song Qiao apart.
But she knew she couldn’t do that.
After standing at the entrance for a while, she took out her phone from her bag and directly dialed Tan Shuya’s number, wanting to ask Tan Shuya what was going on.
Why is Song Qiao fine, without a scratch? Wasn’t she supposed to be killed by those people?
Even so, as she made the calls, no one answered, despite her repeated tries.
At that mont, Murong Rui sensed sothing was wrong, yet had no clue what might be happening on Tan Shuya’s end.
She quickly put the phone back in her bag and hurried toward the street to hail a taxi and find Tan Shuya. Just before reaching the roadside, suddenly a van stopped directly in front of her, and before she could react, the van door opened and a few n in black stepped out, their eyes fixed on her.
Murong Rui imdiately sensed sothing was amiss, and just as she prepared to run, the n in black swiftly approached, grabbing her with one hand each, leaving her unable to touch the ground.
Murong Rui’s heart leapt to her throat as she scread, "Who are you? What do you want? Let go of ... Help..."
However, the n in black remained unfazed, lugging her into the van like a helpless chick.
There was hardly anyone around, given it’s office hours and the area is purely comrcial. Even those few who heard her cries didn’t dare help, considering these burly, intimidating n in black.
Once Murong Rui was tossed inside the car, Ping-ge, sitting in the passenger seat, turned to glance at Murong Rui, whose face had turned pale with fear. His eyes betrayed a trace of confusion and curiosity as to why the boss wanted this woman captured.
Yet he dared not slack off, and directly instructed the driver, "Drive, back to base."
The driver imdiately complied, starting the car.
Murong Rui was imdiately panic-stricken, and scread, "Who are you? What do you want from ? If it’s money you want, I can give it to you, just tell how much and let go..."
Ping-ge, hearing Murong Rui’s voice, couldn’t resist furrowing his brow, feeling this woman was exceptionally annoying. Her re voice and tone made him want to gag her with a rag.
Looking at Murong Rui before him, he suddenly recalled Song Qiao.
Back when Song Qiao was kidnapped by them, she didn’t react this way.
If Song Qiao knew what Ping-ge was thinking, she’d surely sneer in disdain, then imdiately retort: "I was knocked out by your boss back then, duh! If I were ever seized by a group of n in black like this, I’d be scared too, obviously."
After all, she’s also a woman, and it’s perfectly reasonable to be scared, right?
