Lu Jingchen held Song Nianhuan in one arm and wrapped his other arm around his wife’s waist, while Lu Wangshu obediently held his mother’s hand, not running off.
Each child held a skewer of grilled at in hand, and even Song Qiao had two skewers.
Initially, Lu Jingchen didn’t want them eating these, viewing them as junk food, but he softened seeing one adult and two kids look pitifully at him. Still, he limited them to two skewers each.

Lu Jingchen turned, glancing at the skewer in Song Qiao’s hand, furrowing his brows but saying nothing.
Seeing his expression, Song Qiao bead and offered the skewer to him, "Try it, it’s really tasty, cooked well."
Though his severe cleanliness made him dislike junk food, seeing her lively face, he couldn’t refuse and gingerly took a bite.
Song Qiao gently helped him eat the skewer. After he tasted it, she eagerly asked, "How is it? Tasty, right?"
Frowning, he swallowed the at, initially wanting to say it was average, but seeing her sparkling eyes, he nods obligingly, "Hmm, it’s good."
