All of this happened too suddenly, and aside from Song Qiao herself who had yet to react, even the person she bumped into hadn’t expected soone to rush towards him in such haste and collide into him directly.

The man’s gaze shifted from her face to her hand, and his brows imdiately knit together in concern. He had noticed that Song Qiao didn’t want him to help her up, preferring to do it herself. Withdrawing his hand, he crouched down but quickly reached out again, taking her injured hand into his own to examine closely, saying, "Soone had broken a glass here earlier, and it might not have been cleaned up properly. The cut isn’t very deep, but you should still co with to get it disinfected, otherwise, an infection could be bad later."
Upon hearing his words, Song Qiao didn’t imdiately understand. Only when she glanced at the man again did she notice he was wearing a white lab coat, indicating that he was a doctor at this hospital.
Intending to withdraw her hand subconsciously, she replied indifferently, "It’s no trouble, I’ll just have a nurse take care of it later."
The man fixed his gaze on her face, a warm smile appearing as his tone remained apologetic, "After all, it’s my fault that you ended up like this. If you go to the nurse, they might charge you a fee. It might be better for to tend to it personally, free of charge." After a mont of thought, he added, "I might even end up paying you."

"Miss." Just then, another voice broke in, seemingly a bit breathless.
Song Qiao instinctively turned around and saw a middle-aged man running towards them. Upon a closer look, she found him vaguely familiar and belatedly realized it was the taxi driver who had brought her there.
The taxi driver ran up to Song Qiao, handed her the handbag in his possession, and with a smile, the simple and honest driver explained to her, "Miss, you left your handbag in the car. I was planning to wait for you outside, but I have to go pick up my son, so I’ve brought it to you. Fortunately, I found you."
