Song Qiao narrowed her eyes slightly. Although she didn’t quite agree with Chu Munan’s words, she couldn’t deny them either.
The servant directly brought a cup of hot water for Chu Munan, holding several pills in his hand. Chu Munan took them and threw them into his mouth, swallowed them with a sip of water.
After drinking, he put the cup on the table, stood up, looked at Song Qiao, smiled slightly, and said, "Mrs. Lu, please go ahead."

Song Qiao was compelled to follow Chu Munan out of the mansion. Outside, the rain fell heavily onto the ground, and the sound from the roof reached her ears. Feeling a gaze upon her, she looked up and unexpectedly t the man’s deep, dark eyes as if they were splashed with ink.
The rain was pouring down heavily. Lu Jingchen was standing about ten steps away from her, holding an umbrella, dressed in a white shirt and black trousers. The raindrops hit the ground and splashed up, soaking the hem of his trousers. Yet, he seed unaware, his deanor still cold and distinguished.
Jack stood behind Song Qiao, a handgun pressed against her waist. But Song Qiao wasn’t scared, her gaze remained calm and steadfast as she looked fixedly at Lu Jingchen, then her eyes moved to Zuo Yuqing standing beside him.
Her pink lips curled up slightly, revealing a fleeting, shallow smile that no one could catch, especially not the man standing several steps away.
"Song Qiao." The man gazed at her intently for a long ti, his thin lips moved as if after a long while, he finally called out her na.
Song Qiao pursed her lips, looked at him, and smiled faintly, saying, "You guys are here."
Lu Jingchen watched her but remained silent.
Chu Munan, standing beside, watched the interaction between the two with a cold laugh, his gaze falling on Zuo Yuqing, like a wild wolf watching its prey. Observing Zuo Yuqing’s increasingly pale complexion, he chuckled in a low, husky voice, "Little thing, you’ve been naughty again."
Zuo Yuqing looked at Chu Munan, her face turning even whiter, almost drained of blood, and instinctively stepped back, hiding behind Lu Jingchen as if frightened by Chu Munan.
Song Qiao frowned slightly, looked at Chu Munan and then at Zuo Yuqing, probably confirming that this man had indeed co for Zuo Yuqing.
And his capturing her was rely because Lu Jingchen had always been protecting Zuo Yuqing, and she, Song Qiao, just happened to be Lu Jingchen’s wife.
The smile remained on Chu Munan’s face, a sowhat enchanting grin that made him appear extraordinarily handso, especially his complexion which seed pale due to the gunshot wound to his chest, giving him a sowhat sickly appearance.
His gaze fell on Lu Jingchen, and he smirked, saying, "Mr. Lu, how about this? You give my little thing back, and I’ll return your wife to you."

Song Qiao found it hard to digest the nickna, almost instinctively looking towards Zuo Yuqing standing behind Lu Jingchen, a thought surfacing in her mind but she forcefully suppressed it.
Lu Jingchen stood upright, the hand holding the umbrella unconsciously gripped tighter as he looked at Chu Munan and spoke, "I didn’t realize, Second Master Chu enjoyed playing won in his palms. If you want Zuo Yuqing, you should consider whether you have the capability to take her away from ."
Upon hearing Lu Jingchen’s words, Chu Munan couldn’t help but laugh out loud, then looked at Song Qiao and said, "See? This is your husband, completely willing to disregard your comfort for another woman."
Song Qiao remained silent, her eyes half-closed, not speaking.
Suddenly, a sharp and ear-piercing gunshot shattered the air. Song Qiao looked up, her eyes widening at Chu Munan beside her, already hit by a bullet from Xi Mohan. A chill spread from her body, almost reflexively she crouched down, supporting his staggering body, her voice trembling slightly, "Are... are you okay?"
