Song Xi’s face inexplicably flushed red, the boy’s words sounded like sweet nothings, each one tapping at the doors of her heart.
The boy in front of her didn’t have an eye-catching status like Gu Linyuan, nor did he co from an overly affluent family background, certainly not comparable to the Song Family. Song Qiao’s gaze fell on the cake box beside her, which contained layers and was filled with a Black Forest cake and so of Ning Wan’s favorite treats, as well as a bag containing Ning Wan’s preferred yogurt.
Since her injury, Song Qiao had been recuperating at ho and hadn’t visited Ning Wan. Ning Wan had called her, not knowing about her injury, only aware that Lu Jingchen was hurt, so she assud Song Qiao was busy with work and taking care of Lu Jingchen, hence the lack of visits. Ning Wan felt slighted that Song Qiao had forgotten friendship in the face of love but said no more than that.
Song Qiao felt she had a right to complain because she dared not visit Ning Wan or her grandfather in the hospital due to the injury on her back. Usually, it was Mrs. Zhang and Mu Shinian who phoned to inform her about her grandfather’s condition, and they would tell him she would visit in a few days.
