For so reason, Song Qiao always felt that sothing strange was about to happen today, as if sothing was lurking just around the corner, yet she couldn’t quite pinpoint the source of her unease.
With a hum, Song Qiao directly sat beside Lu Jingchen. The man imdiately put down the newspaper in his hands and served her a bowl of porridge, placing it by her hand. The sweet, soft aroma instantly filled her nostrils.
"It’s still very hot, wait a bit before drinking it. Have an egg first." Seeing Song Qiao was about to eat with her spoon, Lu Jingchen acted quickly, snatching the spoon from her hand and placing an egg in her palm instead.
Song Qiao glanced at the bowl of steaming red bean porridge in front of her, which looked utterly delicious, but was unable to sample its taste. Then, looking at the egg in her hand, she couldn’t help feeling a bit disgruntled. How could this even compare?
Her restless mood all morning made her sowhat displeased. She turned her head to the man beside her and complained with dissatisfaction, "If you’re not letting drink the porridge, why tempt by putting it right in front of ?"
Seeing Song Qiao’s sullen appearance, Lu Jingchen’s expression remained unchanged as he slightly raised his eyebrows before saying, "You’re in a bad mood this early in the morning? What happened? Who made you angry?"
Seeing the look on Lu Jingchen’s face, and hearing his words, Song Qiao felt annoyed but had no outlet to vent it. All she could do was grit her teeth and spit out one word, "You!"
Lu Jingchen’s expression beca even more aningful. He didn’t do anything unnecessary, but instead leaned in close to her and, with a hint of teasing in his breath, whispered in her ear, "Could it be I didn’t satisfy you well enough last night?"
Song Qiao, "...Hooligan!"
Knowing that Lu Jingchen actually had a thicker skin than anyone else, and most importantly, this man always appeared extrely proper in front of others, radiating the image of a cultured and refined gentleman. Only she knew that in bed, this man was truly a beast...
She turned her head away, since the man beside her had taken her spoon, leaving her no choice but to peel the eggshell herself grudgingly. Not particularly fond of eggs, she ended up eating the peeled egg in just a few bites, almost as if she were taking a bite out of Lu Jingchen next to her.
Because she ate in such a rush and since eggs are prone to causing choking, Song Qiao ended up choking and feeling quite uncomfortable.
Lu Jingchen slightly frowned and poured her a cup of hot water, passing it to her lips, "Why are you eating in such a hurry? No one is competing with you. Drink so water first to ease it."
Song Qiao hurriedly took the cup and drank, it took quite a while before she felt better. After putting the cup down, she reached out to Lu Jingchen, still sowhat unhappy, and demanded, "I’ve finished the egg, give the spoon, I want to drink my porridge."
Clearly, at this mont, Song Qiao was indeed unhappy, hence the tone in her voice wasn’t very pleasant.
Lu Jingchen slightly raised his eyebrows as he looked at her, but remained silent and handed over the spoon.
After taking the spoon, she imrsed herself in drinking the porridge, not giving the man beside her a second glance.
Lu Jingchen, seeing Song Qiao’s behavior, gave it so serious thought. Other than making love to her twice last night, he couldn’t recall doing anything else that would upset her.
If it was because of what happened last night, then she had even less reason to be upset. After all, as the man, he was the one exerting effort, while she just had to enjoy it.
Most importantly, from last night’s reaction, it was evident that she was thoroughly satisfied by his service.
Neither of them ate much for breakfast; partly because Song Qiao was in a bad mood, and partly because Lu Jingchen was puzzled by her sour mood.
Originally, Song Qiao planned to have the driver take her to the office, but Lu Jingchen also got into the car, claiming he didn’t feel like driving today.
"Sir, should I take you to the office first, or drop the madam off?" The driver was indecisive, clearly noticing that the mood between the couple wasn’t great today, so he cautiously broached the subject.
Lu Jingchen glanced at Song Qiao, who had leaned against the car door and closed her eyes the mont she got in the car, not sure if she was asleep or just resting her eyes. Nevertheless, he intentionally lowered his voice and said indifferently, "Take the madam to work first."
