The woman’s smile was as radiant as flowers, her eyes brimming with laughter, as if filled with twinkling stars, captivating one’s gaze.
Her mood seed quite good. Apart from the distant look she had in the car that seed to suggest she was preoccupied, the smile in her eyes hadn’t faded since she stepped out of the car and sat down here, making it hard to discern whether it was genuine or not.
"President Lu, what a coincidence." A man’s voice tinged with surprise rang out, followed by the sound of footsteps and the click-clack of high heels on the floor.
Lu Jingchen and Song Qiao imdiately looked in the direction of the voice. The man’s expression remained unchanged, but Song Qiao’s eyebrows twitched involuntarily when she saw the slender figure. A smile that was not quite a smile appeared on her face as she turned her gaze back to the man opposite her, her eyes conveying profound aning.
Zuo Yuqing, wearing black trousers and a waterlon-red knitted top, strode gracefully in her ten-centiter high heels. Upon seeing Lu Jingchen and Song Qiao, she showed a hint of surprise. Holding a pair of black sunglasses, she stood beside a middle-aged man and greeted them with a slight smile, "Jingchen, Miss Song, what a coincidence. We’re shooting nearby and just ca here for breakfast. There are no seats left; could we join your table?"
Jingchen, Miss Song?
Song Qiao couldn’t help but scoff inwardly. It was common knowledge that she was already married to Lu Jingchen, and their marriage had been dominating the headlines lately. Yet now, she was still being addressed as Miss Song instead of Mrs. Lu. Most notably, to call Lu Jingchen by his na so affectionately in front of so many people, the intent was blatantly obvious. If one couldn’t see it, they must be blind.
The people who ca with Zuo Yuqing included the middle-aged man and another four or five individuals who appeared to be key staff from the film crew.
Song Qiao recognized the staff mber; it was the famous Director Qian. The others were likely assistant directors and producers. She found them sowhat familiar but couldn’t imdiately recall who they were.
Lu Jingchen’s expression remained the sa, and there was no reason for him to refuse. The restaurant was already full, and they were the only couple seated at their table. Sharing a table was quite common, and if they didn’t agree, they would have to wait for other custors to finish and vacate a table.
Without rejection, Lu Jingchen gave a nonchalant hum of acknowledgnt, then turned to Song Qiao and said, "Co sit next to to make room for Director Qian and the others."
Song Qiao, who was initially sitting opposite Lu Jingchen, responded with an "oh," stood up, and took a seat next to him.
Zuo Yuqing had intended to sit next to Lu Jingchen, but now that Song Qiao had taken the spot, her expression faintly changed. However, she quickly returned to her usual composure, gesturing for the others to sit down as well. Although there was still a spot next to Lu Jingchen, Zuo Yuqing didn’t dare to blatantly move next to him and disturb Song Qiao. Instead, she gestured for a younger-looking girl to sit by Song Qiao, and seated herself next to the girl.
A table that could normally seat ten was now just about full with Zuo Yuqing’s group joining them.
Since Zuo Yuqing was a celebrated actress, many people in the breakfast place turned their attention to their table, with the majority of gazes falling on Zuo Yuqing, Lu Jingchen, and Song Qiao, making their table the center of attention.
So of them were likely fans of Zuo Yuqing, quietly discussing whether to ask for an autograph or a photo together.
Facing all this, Song Qiao couldn’t help but frown. She just wanted to have a simple breakfast with her husband without becoming the subject of other people’s attention and gossip.
Damn it, can’t a person have a peaceful breakfast? She would have chosen not to co here had she known it would be like this.

Director Qian’s gaze continually lingered on Lu Jingchen and Song Qiao, as if he had sothing to say but refrained from speaking.
Noticing his peculiarity, Lu Jingchen remained unfazed, pretending not to see, but Song Qiao, being considerate, initiated conversation, "Director Qian, I’ve always heard of your great reputation and I enjoy your dramas very much. It’s an honor to have breakfast with you today."
