Song Xi found it sowhat odd to see the two n enter together. She glanced at Lu Jingchen, then Chu Munan, before finally addressing them directly, "Brother-in-law, Mr. Chu."
Chu Munan grunted in acknowledgent, his long legs clad in a suit striding into the room. After a few steps, he seed to recall sothing and stopped, turning to look back at Lu Jingchen and spoke indifferently, "Didn’t Mr. Lu say you had sothing to discuss? Are you not going to speak now?"
Song Qiao was still sitting on the couch, but her gaze had already shifted away from the two n, returning to the cup in her hands without speaking. On the surface, she seed calm, but inside, her heart was already a chaotic ss.
She didn’t know why Chu Munan allowed Lu Jingchen to co in, even less so what agreent they had reached between them, and what exactly Lu Jingchen intended to do next?
Her mind was filled with all sorts of possibilities, even directly jumping to the thought: what if Chu Munan had told Lu Jingchen about her pregnancy? She felt that the man’s gaze on her carried an incredibly invasive intensity, as if, were it not for the presence of others here, he might have already pushed her down.
The mont this thought surfaced, the hand holding the cup unconsciously tightened its grip, and her nervous emotions could hardly be concealed.
Lu Jingchen’s eyes landed on Song Qiao, who kept her head down the entire ti. His deep eyes shimred with an unusual light.
Even without looking up, Song Qiao could feel the man’s intensely hot gaze on her, causing her to beco stiff all over. In the spacious presidential suite, there was suddenly an eerie silence as no one spoke.
Song Xi stood beside Song Qiao, glanced at Lu Jingchen in front of her, then turned to look at her sister. She suddenly felt the atmosphere tense, and even her limbs didn’t know where to rest properly.
Chu Munan glanced at Song Qiao and then at Lu Jingchen, his face revealing a mocking smile. He swiftly walked over to Song Xi, grabbed her hand, and bluntly said, "Co outside with for a mont."
Song Xi blinked in surprise, not having enough ti to react before Chu Munan was already pulling her towards the door. By the ti she fully recovered, she was dragged out of the presidential suite, with the door closed behind her.
Blinking her spirited big eyes, Song Xi’s gaze fell on the hand that the man was holding. For no clear reason, she felt a tingling sensation spreading from the bottom of her heart throughout her body, even a strange throbbing erging in her mind, and a suspicious blush crept over her ears.
It wasn’t that she hadn’t had a boyfriend before, but they had broken up over a small misunderstanding.
Aside from the boy she had dated and her father, she had never held hands with any other man so intimately.
However, Chu Munan did not notice Song Xi’s unusual behavior and kept walking with her to the elevator. As soon as they reached it, he let go of her hand and said indifferently, "I’ll arrange for soone to take you back."
The unexpected release of her hand by the man filled Song Xi with an inexplicable sense of loss.
Hearing his words, she promptly snapped back to reality, hiding her inner sense of loss. Looking up at the man in front of her, and rembering Song Qiao was still in the presidential suite and unsure of their current situation, she quickly said, "But my sister and my brother-in-law..."
"They will handle their own matters, and with here, nothing will happen to your sister." Chu Munan cut her off before she could finish.
The man’s face no longer bore that extrely gentle smile. Perhaps as soon as they left the presidential suite and Song Qiao’s line of sight, his smile had completely faded, and he was now utterly expressionless.
All of a sudden, Song Xi found herself at a loss for words, eventually just nodding her head. When the elevator arrived, she stepped in.
Chu Munan followed her into the elevator, took out his phone, and dialed a number to instruct the driver to take Song Xi back.
