"Madam, you’re awake," Mrs. Chen quickly put down her hand that was about to knock on the door when she saw Song Qiao awake.
Song Qiao made a sound of acknowledgnt and asked, "Is there sothing you need?"
As soon as she spoke, she felt an intense dryness in her throat, and her voice was very hoarse.
Mrs. Chen didn’t say much, simply saying, "Mr. Xi just called to say that Mr. Lu has awakened and asked you to go to the hospital to take care of him."
Song Qiao frowned slightly, showing no extra emotion on her face, and dismissively replied, "I know, you may go now."
Then, she directly closed the bedroom door.
Mrs. Chen stood at the door, montarily not fully reacting, looked at the firmly shut door and ultimately said nothing more, only sighing deeply in her heart before she walked away.

An hour later, the black Maybach stopped in front of the hospital. Song Qiao got out with a thermos in hand and instructed the driver, "Old Zhang, you can go back first. I’ll call you when I’m ready to return."
Old Zhang promptly acknowledged and drove off.
Song Qiao looked up at the hospital building in front of her, feeling no ripple in her heart. After squinting her eyes, she walked straight in.
The hospital was filled with patients and their families. She went straight into the elevator and pressed the button for the floor where the deluxe wards were located. Even though she hadn’t accompanied them to the ward arranged for Lu Jingchen the night before, Xi Mohan apparently didn’t want her to be uninford and had told Mrs. Zhang exactly which floor and room number Lu Jingchen was on during the call.
Song Qiao stopped at the door of the room and gave a symbolic knock before pushing the door open and stepping inside. However, just two steps in, as she saw clearly the scene within, she suddenly froze and stood still.
The people in the room hadn’t expected soone to enter so suddenly. Zuo Yuqing, who was feeding soup to the man on the bed, jerked her hand, nearly spilling the bowl of soup on him, panickedly standing up with the bowl which she quickly placed on the table, her face carrying a hint of panic and unease as she looked at the woman standing at the door.
Lu Jingchen’s gaze fell on Song Qiao at the doorway, his eyes tightening sharply, his expression turning gloomy in an instant, and he huskily called out to Song Qiao standing at the door, "Song Qiao..."
Beyond the initial surprise that appeared on her face, Song Qiao remained unfazed and hearing Lu Jingchen call her na, she tugged at the corner of her mouth and replied unhurriedly, "It seems I’ve co at an inconvenient ti, you can continue. I’ll wait outside."
After saying this, she turned around to leave the ward.
There was a commotion behind her, followed by Zuo Yuqing’s exclamation, "Jingchen..."
Just as Song Qiao turned around, the ward door happened to open from the outside. Xi Mohan entered with one hand holding a cell phone and the other on the door handle; he paused upon seeing Song Qiao and then in a tone neither warm nor cold, asked, "Where are you planning to go?"
Song Qiao’s lips moved, about to say sothing, but then she heard footsteps approaching from behind. Without even turning to look, she felt herself enveloped in a strong embrace filled with the scent of the man’s dicine and a potent masculine sll, which instantly engulfed all her senses.
"Song Qiao, you leave just as you arrive; do you dislike that much?" the man’s voice, filled with gritted teeth, rang in her ears.
