Ning Wan did not expect Xi Mohan to answer so decisively. In recent tis, this man appeared in her world from ti to ti as if she couldn’t shake him off.
Especially during that ti when she was hospitalized, this man had stayed by her side all along, which made her wonder if Xi Mohan was out of his mind.
He used to dislike her so much, wishing she would stay far away from him. Yet, during her hospitalization, he was there every day, hardly leaving except for extrely important matters, almost moving his work to her ward.
Ning Wan felt that either this man had a screw loose, or he had gone crazy!
Her expression narrowed slightly as she looked at the man before her, Ning Wan then said, "But what should I do? I don’t want to see you at all right now, and I don’t want you to keep appearing by my side."
The man’s expression remained unchanged, the only difference being his hand holding the car keys at his side, which he tightened slightly before finally speaking, "There are no taxis that pass by here, it’s difficult to get a car to take you out."
"I can ask Qiaoqiao to have their family driver take to the city center."
The man’s thin lips were lightly pursed, as expressionless as ever, but he still sighed softly, his voice carrying a hint of warmth as he said, "Wanwan, there’s no need for you to guard against like this. If I really wanted to do sothing to you, I would have done it while you were in the hospital; there’s no need to wait until now."
Ning Wan choked upon hearing Xi Mohan’s words, finding herself at a loss for words.
Noticing her slight wavering, although the man didn’t continue to press her, he still spoke directly, "Let’s go, I’ll take you there. Whatever you want to do, I won’t interfere."
Ning Wan cast a strange glance at the man who had already turned and took the lead walking out of the villa. She narrowed her eyes slightly but, glancing at the ti, she realized she had already wasted quite a bit of it. Moreover, Qiaoqiao had been carried upstairs by Lu Jingchen, and heaven knows if the couple were up to sothing naughty, making it seemingly impossible to go talk to Qiaoqiao right now.
Because it’s a villa area, where each household has cars, there wouldn’t be any cars here unless soone called a taxi.
When she arrived earlier, she had taken a taxi because she didn’t know how long she would stay, and had thus dismissed the driver. Now, if she did not ask Qiaoqiao’s family driver to take her, indeed the only option was to walk.
With nearly no choice, Ning Wan picked up her handbag and headed straight for Xi Mohan’s car in her high heels.

Within the general manager’s office of Ning Group, Ning Yan’er was sitting in the boss’s chair with an unpleasant, even ominously dark expression. Holding the photos that had just been handed to her, she beca so furious that she swept all the cups and other objects off the desk onto the floor.
The sound of the cups and other items falling to the ground caused the secretaries outside to exchange glances. They quickly dispersed to their respective duties, fearing they would bring trouble upon themselves.
Because everyone was preoccupied with their work, not a single person stopped Ning Wan as she went up, nor did anyone inform Ning Yan’er that she had arrived... along with Xi Mohan.
Ning Wan was not visiting for the first ti; she often ca to the company to see her father when her parents still worked there, so many of the company’s long-term employees recognized her. Just now, on her way up, she had even co across a few company executives who had been kind to her in the past.
A few steps away from Ning Yan’er’s office, Ning Wan stopped and turned to look coldly at the man who had been following her, speaking sarcastically, "Mr. Xi, are you sure you want to go in with ?"
Xi Mohan’s gaze turned slightly stern, evidently dissatisfied with Ning Wan’s address, but didn’t elaborate further, simply stating, "It’s been a long ti since I last saw Yan’er, and it wouldn’t be bad to co up for a visit."
Ning Wan stopped talking, as the man had made up his mind, and it wasn’t her place to stop him, especially since she didn’t own the route.
She turned around and walked up to the door in her high heels without any hesitation, not knocking but simply twisting open the door. Upon seeing the disarray inside, she paused for a mont then let out a sneer and said to Ning Yan’er who was sitting there, her expression not pleased, "Eldest Lady Ning, long ti no see."
