Ning Wan heard the voice, looked up directly to follow it, and saw a face with delicate makeup, seemingly around twenty-six or seven years old, exuding a mature and intellectual aura.
Inexplicably, Ning Wan felt the woman in front of her looked a bit familiar. She blinked and sized her up, noticing a work ID in the pocket of her suit jacket, which clearly had the Xi Group’s logo. Coupled with the woman’s clean and decisive deanor, it was obvious she was a capable career woman.
An employee of the Xi Group? One of Xi Mohan’s subordinates?
Is this about to turn into an office romance?
Thinking of this, Ning Wan glanced at the handso face just within reach, then at the sowhat bewildered woman standing there, her expression a bit odd.
Yet, facing this woman, with whom he had just enacted a ’live action scene’ and who was almost undressed, Xi Mohan remained as indifferent as ever. After bringing Ning Wan into the ward and letting her sit on the hospital bed, he expressionlessly uttered two words, "Get out."
The woman’s face first showed shock, then slowly turned pale. Her hand beside her slowly clenched into a fist, her nails digging into her flesh, causing a stinging pain.
There was a reluctance in her eyes, but she didn’t dare linger any longer. Without a word, she picked up her bag and quickly ran out of the ward.
The sound of the ward door closing was quite loud, making Ning Wan’s face show so surprise. She then raised her chin to look at the man in front of her and spoke with a forced smile, "It’s not good for you to be so angry, Mr. Xi. After all, she likes you and almost sacrificed herself for you. Your attitude towards her isn’t right."
Watching the woman’s departing figure, she suddenly rembered who this woman was.
Although she wasn’t very familiar with the woman, she knew this woman liked Xi Mohan for years. It seed that when she chased after Xi Mohan in the past, this woman had appeared, and at that ti, she was still a student.
It was unexpected that she was now working at the Xi Group.
Unlike Ning Wan, the woman didn’t start liking Xi Mohan when he was a naive teenager, but when he began engaging with the Xi Group. Still, having liked him for so long, it made Ning Wan see a bit of her forr foolish self.
Xi Mohan looked at her, his gaze fixed, not getting up imdiately. Instead, his hands directly propped on the bed on either side of her, his handso face moving close, his tone a bit gloomy, without revealing any emotion, "Do you want to be with another woman?"
The man stared at her like that, and Ning Wan inexplicably felt a deep resentnt, but still subconsciously nodded.
The man’s personality now seed unpredictable, and as she gradually stopped loving him so much, she naturally wanted to get away from him.
Moreover, even if her parents owed the Xi Family, hadn’t the youth she spent on him for over a decade and that unborn child been enough repaynt?
So now she wished Xi Mohan would stay away from her world, but who knew this car accident forced her to co and take care of him every day again.
If he were with another woman, it would naturally have nothing to do with her, so why not?
Seeing her nod, Xi Mohan seed to smile slightly, but his tone was very light as he stated, "But what can I do? Ning Wan, now, aside from wanting to tie you to my side, I’m not interested in any other won."
Her fingers instinctively curled and tightened, the color on her face suddenly fading away. Eventually, her lips parted slightly, softly uttering, "But what can I do, Xi Mohan? I don’t want to be with you at all now."
Xi Mohan’s dark eyes imdiately seed to carry a hint of coldness, his thin lips pressed lightly without speaking, directly standing up and changing the topic, "Didn’t you bring dinner? Open it, I’m hungry."
Ning Wan quickly stood up from the bed, hearing his words, her brows couldn’t help but furrow, her gaze landing on the food on the table, still fragrant, and she spoke with a smile, "Hasn’t soone already brought you food?"
Ning Wan still held the packed als in her hands. After such a fuss, who knew if the dishes inside had turned into a ss, but it was no longer important.
