Upon hearing Song Qiao’s words, his brows slightly raised, he said with a playful yet mocking tone, "Should I give it back now?"
Song Qiao’s eyes fell on his mouth, her face imdiately darkening as she realized she was being teased by the man, turning her head away with an annoyed expression, snapping, "Forget it."
Lu Jingchen turned to look at her, catching the visible annoyance on her face even though he could only see her profile. His lips couldn’t help but curve slightly, reaching out an arm to easily wrap around her waist, considering the close proximity between them, before leaning in further, "Still mad?"
His voice was low and sowhat husky, as if he hadn’t drunk water, yet it sounded incredibly sexy.
It was precisely because of this tone that Song Qiao felt her body tense and a tingling sensation like electricity starting from her feet, making her feel numb.
How long had it been since he spoke to her like this?
It hadn’t been that long, but upon reflection it felt like it had been ages.
After a mont, she reluctantly turned her head towards him, realizing their faces were almost touching, his breath nearly brushing against her face, and suddenly not just her whole body felt numb, but even her cheeks and ears started turning red.
