Lu Jingchen glanced at Song Qiao and started picking up food for her with his chopsticks.
Song Qiao turned her head to look at Lu Jingchen, stayed silent, but lowered her head and began to eat seriously.

Before Song Qiao could respond, Lu Jingchen continued, "Song Qiao, do you know? His first word wasn’t anything else, but ’mom,’ yet you weren’t there. As he got older, he kept asking where his mom was. I can’t possibly tell him she didn’t want him, can I?"
Song Qiao’s body stiffened even more, and her eyes couldn’t help but redden.
For her son, she genuinely felt she had wronged him over these years.
When he was brought to Lu Jingchen by Ning Wan, he was still nursing. Parting with him was incredibly hard for her.
Lu Jingchen glanced at her, noticing her eyes reddened, having hit a sore point, making him a bit soft-hearted.
Yet, recalling how she had lived with another man over the years, keeping him from finding them, his softened heart turned cold again, lips curling into a mocking smile, "Song Qiao, I sotis wonder, do you even have a heart?"
Song Qiao’s lips moved, but she couldn’t say a word.
Lu Jingchen turned his gaze away from her and focused on the little boy playing, softly calling, "Wangshu, co here. Daddy will take you for a bath."
