The next morning, Fiona took the address from the email and went to check Moonshine headquarters.

She had barely slept. The offer had kept her awake most of the night — the generous salary, the full creative control, the comprehensive maternity coverage, the flexible hybrid arrangent. It felt almost too perfect, like a door opening exactly when she needed an escape. But she couldn’t accept sothing this big blindly. She needed to see the company with her own eyes, feel the atmosphere, understand what she would be stepping into.

She had never heard of the location before. Nobody in the industry seed to know exactly where Moonshine’s main office was. The company was notoriously private, operating more like a secret society than a typical corporation. Even the address in the email felt mysterious — a sleek building called Lumière Tower in a quieter business district on the edge of the financial quarter.

Fiona’s heart beat faster as the taxi pulled up in front of the tower.

The building was stunning — all glass and steel, rising elegantly into the morning sky with a modern, almost futuristic design. Sunlight reflected off the mirrored windows, making the structure shimr like a mirage. A discreet silver sign near the entrance simply read "Lumière Tower" with no ntion of any company nas. Fiona stepped out of the taxi, smoothing her blouse over her growing bump, and took a deep breath.

This could be her future.

Or it could be another disappointnt.

She walked through the revolving doors into a bright, minimalist lobby. Polished marble floors, high ceilings, and a large abstract sculpture in the center that looked like flowing silver waves. A friendly receptionist greeted her with a warm smile.

"Good morning. How can I help you?"

Fiona hesitated for a second, then said, "I’m here to visit Moonshine Empire. I have an appointnt for a tour."

The receptionist’s smile didn’t waver.

"Moonshine is on the upper floors. Soone will et you there."

Fiona thanked her and headed toward the bank of elevators.

As she waited, she noticed a familiar figure standing near the entrance, talking to a delivery person.

Caleb Reed.

He was dressed casually but stylishly in dark trousers and a crisp white shirt, sleeves rolled up, looking every bit the successful architect she knew him as.

Confused but genuinely happy to see a familiar face in this unfamiliar place, Fiona approached him.

"Hey," she said, a small smile breaking through her nerves. "I didn’t know you were by this corner."

Caleb turned, and his face lit up with that warm, genuine smile she rembered from years ago.

"Fiona! What a surprise. What brings you here?"

She explained, still a little puzzled.

"I’m here to check out Moonshine Empire. I got an unexpected job offer from them yesterday. Do you happen to know where I can go? The receptionist said level upper floor, but I’m not sure where exactly."

Caleb’s smile widened, a spark of sothing unreadable in his eyes.

"You’re at the right place," he said smoothly. "Just take the elevator to the upper floors and head right down — you’ll find it. Soone will be waiting for you."

Fiona had no idea she was speaking to the CEO of Moonshine.

She thanked him and gave him a quick hug before heading toward the elevators. As she waited Caleb reached out to her.

"Fiona, wait a second."

She turned back.

Caleb walked over, his expression turning more serious but still kind.

"Before you go up... have you thought any more about what I said the other night? About my proposal?"

Fiona felt her cheeks warm.

"Caleb... it’s a lot. I’m still processing everything.

Caleb nodded, understanding in his eyes.

"I get it. No pressure. I just want you to know i care about you. I’ve always cared. And I want to be there for you and the baby, however you’ll let ."

Fiona smiled softly, touched by his gentleness.

"Thank you. That ans more than you know. Let see the office first. Then we can talk properly."

Caleb gave her one last warm smile.

"Go on up. I hope you like what you see."

Fiona stepped into the elevator, heart racing with a mix of nerves .

Fiona stepped out of the elevator on level 42 and imdiately felt like she had entered a different world.

The space was breathtaking — open, bright, and alive with creative energy. Floor-to-ceiling windows flooded the entire floor with natural light. Sleek workstations blended seamlessly with collaborative zones filled with mood boards, digital screens displaying stunning beauty campaigns, and prototype displays of innovative product packaging. The air slled faintly of fresh coffee, citrus, and sothing clean and modern — like possibility itself.

Tanya, the HR director, greeted her with a warm, professional smile.

"Welco to Moonshine Empire. I’m Tanya. We’re thrilled you’re here. Let give you the full tour and share a bit of our story."

"HI i am Fiona pleased to et you"

Fiona followed her, eyes wide, taking in every detail.

As they walked, Tanya began to speak with quiet pride.

"Moonshine wasn’t always this big. It started years ago as a small, underground lab in a garage. Our founder he was frustrated with the beauty industry’s lack of inclusivity. He saw brands ignoring so many skin tones, hair types, and body types. So he started experinting in his spare ti, formulating clean, effective products that actually worked for everyone. No harsh chemicals. No animal testing. No exclusion."

Tanya paused at a large digital wall displaying the company’s early prototypes — simple jars and tubes with handwritten labels.

"His first product was a moisturizer that worked on every skin tone without leaving a white cast. He gave samples to friends, family, and people in his community. Word spread fast. Within two years, he had a small online following. By year four, Moonshine had its first retail partnership. But our founder kept it quiet. He never wanted to be the face of the brand. He believed the products should speak for themselves."

They walked past a glass-walled lab where scientists in white coats were working on new formulations.

"Moonshine grew because we stayed true to our values," Tanya continued. "Inclusive from day one. Cruelty-free. Sustainable packaging. Clean ingredients that actually deliver results. While other brands were still pushing one-size-fits-all marketing, we were creating shade ranges that covered the full spectrum of human skin. We listened to real people — not just influencers. That authenticity resonated. Quietly, steadily, we started overtaking bigger players in key categories."

Fiona was srized.

She stopped in front of a display wall showcasing Moonshine’s milestone products — the original moisturizer, the breakthrough foundation line, the viral lip tint that ca in 40 shades.

Tanya smiled.

"Last year we quietly surpassed Voss Éclat in three major markets — clean beauty, Gen Z brand affinity, and inclusive skincare. But we don’t shout about it. We let the numbers and the custor love do the talking. That’s why our headquarters is hidden behind the architecture firm. We wanted to protect the brand’s integrity.

Fiona felt a thrill run through her.

The company felt alive. Purposeful. Honest.

Everything Voss Éclat had stopped feeling like.

As they continued the tour, Tanya shared more stories — how Moonshine funded research for underrepresented skin conditions, how they partnered with small community labs, how every product was tested on diverse skin tones before launch.

Fiona’s mind raced with ideas. She could already picture campaigns she would love to create here — real stories, real people, real beauty.

When the tour ended, Tanya led her to a quiet lounge overlooking the city.

"So," Tanya said, handing her a sleek folder with the full offer details, "what do you think?"

Fiona took a deep breath.

"It’s... incredible. The space, the mission, the culture — it feels like sowhere I could truly make a difference. I’m very interested. I just need a little ti to think."

Tanya smiled warmly.

"Take all the ti you need. The offer is open. We believe you’d be a perfect fit.

"Thank you so much i will be in touch "

Fiona left the offices with Caleb waiting downstairs for her she had never felt this happier in weeks ....
