"Oh... what’s up?"

Li Yan’s brows furrowed slightly, his eyes brimming with curiosity.

He had little to do with this Daoist, who was rely ordered to show the way. Could it be he was looking for trouble?

Yu Fengzi looked towards the mountain below, first letting out a long sigh, then with a solemn expression, he bowed and said, "I must also thank Mister Li for showing rcy."

"To be frank, the Daoist you saw earlier at the foot of the mountain, who goes by the na of Yu Chenzi, is my junior. He is actually a decent person, but he cos from a low background and has read so Confucian classics, placing great emphasis on hierarchy and status."

"A few months ago, he did sothing wrong and fell out of favor with our master, who punished him by making him guard the gate at the base of the mountain. He was ordered to patrol the mountain but failed to notice Feiyi’s appearance and even clashed with guests climbing the mountain... Alas~"

"If not for Mister Li’s magnanimity, it could have caused a major disaster."

"It was nothing."

Li Yan shook his head lightly, his deanor calm, "Everyone is born different, with varying beliefs, I haven’t taken it to heart."

Honestly, the incident below the mountain turned out to be a heart-refining experience for him, and coupled with the majestic and perilous nature of Hua Mountain, it had broadened his mind greatly.

Such trifles, naturally, he wouldn’t take to heart.

"Mister Li’s magnanimity is admirable, yet I cannot leave it unacknowledged."

A hint of appreciation appeared in Yu Fengzi’s eyes, as he sincerely said, "There is also another matter for which I hope Mister Li will not take offense. My divine power is that of ear divine power, and I have heard all the conversations had by everyone here earlier."

"Mister Li, are you looking to forge a Magic Artifact weapon?"

Hearing this, Li Yan’s expression remained unchanged, not surprised.

After all, divine skills are good at probing, and with many Cultivators of Mystical Sect on Hua Mountain, overhearing so talk was not unusual.

Since he dared to speak his mind freely, he naturally didn’t fear others knowing.

Thinking this, Li Yan nodded and said, "Indeed I had such plans. I originally intended to have soone accompany up the mountain to buy spiritual materials and then find a nearby place to forge the blade, but the craftsman fell ill, so I had to think of a different approach."

Yu Fengzi’s eyebrows raised, and he blinked, saying, "Our West Peak is indeed a Geng tal treasure land. Most of the materials unearthed this ti, apart from costing money, are tal spiritual materials. The disciples of Chunyang Palace often need swordsmiths."

"Mister Li has co to Hua Mountain but seeks a side door swordsmith to forge a sword. Isn’t that an unnecessary duplication?"

"I’ve already asked my junior, Yu Hanzi, to seek an elder. If Mister Li wishes to forge a sword, just co with ."

"Oh? Well, thank you very much, Daoist!"

Li Yan’s eyes were full of surprise as he quickly bowed in thanks.

"Don’t be too quick to thank ."

Yu Fengzi’s brow furrowed slightly, shaking his head, "To be honest, the elder I found for you is just staying temporarily on Hua Mountain. Whether he will lend a hand or not is a matter of fate. If it doesn’t work out, we will have to seek a swordsmith within the palace."

"Rember, once inside, don’t ask too much, and don’t say too much. Whatever the elder asks, you just answer honestly."

"Whether it can be done or not, it all depends on fate."

Such a temper?

Li Yan was surprised in his heart and increasingly curious.

What kind of craftsman was this, whom even Chunyang Palace treated with such respect?

Yu Fengzi said no more, leading him quickly to South Peak, then down several hundred ters to a mountain hollow.

There, a vigorous stream waterfall cascaded from high above, splashing water like smoke and mist, roaring loudly.

Tall pines and cypresses thrived all around, lush and verdant, branches interlacing, creating a green canopy overhead. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting mottled shadows, like a breathtaking landscape scroll.

There was a straw hut by the cold pool and a tall furnace. Though they appeared ordinary, Li Yan keenly sensed their extraordinariness.

The cold pool represented water, the furnace fire, the straw hut wood, and the ground was covered with Five-Colored Soil. Adding the tal used in forging, it represented the full spectrum of the Five Elents.

Furthermore, the arrangent was ticulous. Although he could not discern the intricacies, he could feel the movent of Gang Qi, forming a situation of its own.

Li Yan’s eyes revealed shock;

This place was indeed Grotto Heaven, a Cave Heaven Blessed Land acupoint!

To occupy a spiritual acupoint, to reside in a hut, and judging from Yu Fengzi’s words, not a person of Chunyang Palace, his status was certainly extraordinary.

By the side of the straw hut, the short and stout Yu Hanzi anxiously awaited.

Seeing the two of them arrive, he hurriedly approached, lowering his voice eagerly, "The elder has already agreed, but he said he needed to see the person first. Mister Li, when you go in, you must not ask anything rashly."

The caution in his voice was evident.

All this secrecy made Li Yan even more curious.

He gave a slight bow to the two of them and strode into the straw hall.

Inside the straw hut, the light was dim.

At first, Li Yan thought nothing of it, but as soon as he crossed the threshold, his whole body’s hairs stood on end, and he suddenly saw a blade light coming from the darkness, stabbing straight at his brow.

That blade light was filled with chilling intent, as if it sought to take his life.

Clang!

Li Yan couldn’t help but swing his sword to block.

However, as he raised his blade, it t nothing.

Sweat beaded on his forehead as he looked intently, but there was no blade light.

The sensation was all an illusion!

He saw within the dimly lit hut a single oil lamp placed on a clay bed, upon which sat an old man.

Despite the dim light, Li Yan could see clearly.

The old man was tall, the chill of the mountain sharp, yet he only wore a simple cloth robe, his body marked with knotted muscles and bulging veins.

His physique was peculiar, resembling the Divine Statues of guardian deities one might find in temples.

His features were sharp, his hair and beard both white, his age indiscernible, his face crisscrossed with wrinkles like craggy gullies, and his long white hair reaching his waist.

All that blade light before, was just the product of his gaze!

What kind of strange old creature was this?

Li Yan’s heart was astonished, feeling parched and tongue-tied.

With just a look, to cause such illusions, that was a feat not even Dan Strength experts could achieve. Could it be Astral Force?

Unable to contain himself, Li Yan surreptitiously made the Yang Jue gesture.

Indeed, just as when he first saw Jing Xuzi, he couldn’t detect even the slightest scent from the old man.
