Ye Shikai suddenly felt a bit of concern. Just a few days of isolation from the world made him feel out of touch with the tis, and more appropriately described as if a lifeti had passed.

“I hope so. There are too many things now, and I’m really worried sothing might happen. Ghost and the Moon Guards should already be taking action in the East Sea. I wonder how the situation is,” Ye Shikai murmured.
“Don’t worry.” After the two went down the mountain, they freshened up in the villa at the foot of the mountain. With the wedding approaching, it was ti to go back for the final preparations.

“Wait, let in,” the two had just returned to the villa entrance when they saw soone shouting loudly at the door, surrounded tightly by dozens of Chen family guards, not letting her get close.
“Let in. I need to see the Boss.” Upon closer inspection, wasn’t this Demoness? She glared fiercely at the guards in front of her, her face furious, seemingly about to force her way in.
“This is the Chen family’s territory. You are not allowed to cause trouble here. “I am going in today. Take this!” Demoness swung her soft sword, splitting the stone-paved road in half.
“Stop, all of you!” Ye Shikai’s heart panicked. He rushed forward, standing between the two sides. They couldn’t fight here, and thankfully he arrived in ti, or else there would’ve been a “battle of swords.” Chen Yuxin’s expression changed slightly, a hint of disgust flashed in her eyes, but she still followed.
“Salute the Family Head.” All the guards, seeing Chen Yuxin, put away their weapons and bowed to welco her. Chen Yuxin walked past Demoness, the two won exchanged a glance.
“Demoness, what are you doing here?” Ye Shikai hurriedly pulled Demoness aside and questioned, “This is an important place for the Chen family, and you still want to fight here?”
“Kai, it’s alright. I trust Demoness didn’t an it. She must have sothing urgent,” Chen Yuxin approached gently, smiling. Since the conflict had occurred, she naturally wanted to leave Ye Shikai with an impression of being “considerate.”
“Everyone step back, let’s go inside and talk,” Chen Yuxin said calmly.
“Demoness, let’s go inside and talk.” Ye Shikai was about to pull her, but Demoness flung him off directly.
“Ghost is now uncertain of life or death, and you’re vacationing here. I must have been blind; you’re just a bastard.” To everyone’s surprise, Demoness’s emotions didn’t calm but rather intensified, cursing Ye Shikai in front of everyone.
“Are you crazy? Besides, what happened to Ghost? Isn’t he on a mission in the East Sea?” Ye Shikai was taken aback. Demoness, though hot-tempered, had never cursed him so harshly before.
“Demoness, what exactly do you want? He’s the Netherworld King, your superior, not soone you can insult here. Does the Netherworld Palace have no hierarchy?” Chen Yuxin’s anger rose hearing Demoness’s words. She had always been wary of the Netherworld Palace’s leaders, and now Demoness was openly scolding the person she loved, how could she tolerate that?
“Hmph, Chen Yuxin, don’t think I don’t know what you’re planning. You had Jeddon divide Ghost’s duties clearly to replace him and control the Netherworld Palace. Now that Ghost’s life is uncertain, are you satisfied?”
“Enough!” Ye Shikai suddenly shouted, slapping Demoness across the face.

A crisp sound of a slap.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. We’ll talk about everything when I return to Yanjing,” Ye Shikai said coldly. “Xin, let’s go inside.”
“Hades, you will regret this.” Demoness shouted and ran off, disappearing into the depths of the forest, visibly agitated, tears welling in her eyes.
“You all intensify your vigilance. If you encounter this woman again, stop her outside imdiately.”
“Yes, Family Head.”

“Xin, pack your things. We’re returning to Yanjing imdiately.” When Ye Shikai returned to the room, the anger in his heart hadn’t subsided, but Demoness’s words hinted at sothing possibly wrong with Ghost. Given her long journey, sothing must have happened in the East Sea.
“Kai, are you in such a hurry? Weren’t you just quite angry?”
“Precisely because I’m angry, I want to know the truth imdiately. Demoness was too impulsive; I must return at once,” Ye Shikai quickly packed a suitcase.

“Do you have sothing to say?”
“Kai, can you promise sothing?”
“Go ahead.”
“No, promise first that you’ll agree.”
“You… Alright, I promise to agree to whatever you say.” Ye Shikai, helpless, had already driven Demoness away and didn’t want more trouble, especially with Chen Yuxin, who could beco quite “frightening” when stubborn.
“No matter what happens, our wedding must go on as planned.” As soon as Chen Yuxin finished speaking, Ye Shikai was taken aback.
“Fine, I promise you.”
“I want you to swear an oath.” Chen Yuxin’s tone suddenly turned serious, and Ye Shikai felt a bit uncomfortable hearing it. He didn’t like being commanded, especially by Chen Yuxin.
“Is it necessary?” Ye Shikai took a deep breath to relieve his anxious feelings. Although swearing an oath wasn’t much, Chen Yuxin’s words deeply stung his heart, making him feel like a person betrayed by everyone, not even trusted by his soon-to-be wife.
“Kai, shouldn’t you be considerate of ? We’ve been planning the wedding for so long, and the guests are invited. Is there anything more important than this?”
“Alright, I swear, the wedding will be held as planned. Is that enough?” Ye Shikai rumbled this sentence lowly, then turned to leave.
