Ji Qian, Soul Destroyer, Demoness, Selena, Short-nosed Crocodile, and Zhang Lin, along with several Hidden Guards and Moon Guards, ford one group, making them the most powerful group. They were also carrying the insulated box containing the Snow Lotus of Bai Mountain.
“Master, have sothing to eat,” Selena handed Ji Qian a ration biscuit. Bai Mountain’s cold climate made the biscuit tough to chew, and they needed to heat the water slightly before drinking it.
“No need, I’m not hungry yet,” Ji Qian shook her head. Their group had been walking for half a day but still found no clues, staring into the white with no end in sight.
“Master, don’t worry. Look, the snow here has begun to lt. I think we’re close to the boundary of Bai Mountain,” Demoness pointed at the snow on the ground, which was indeed much shallower compared to the snow by Cold Lake.
“We can’t be careless. The closer we get, the more likely a crisis will occur,” Ji Qian checked her watch; it was already 11 PM, so she had a few Moon Guards stand watch.

Suddenly, a crossbow arrow shot straight at them. Ji Qian instinctively dodged, and the arrow pierced through the side of the tent.
“Be careful, we’re under attack,” Ji Qian exclaid, and everyone reacted, grabbing their weapons and readying themselves. Their fears were confird when a loud explosion was heard in the sky, a signal flare, but Ji Qian instantly recognized it as not being from Netherworld Palace or Moon God Temple, but from the attackers.
Ji Qian’s face turned serious imdiately; the attackers’ flare had only one purpose: to gather their companions and surround them.
“Master, are you okay?” Selena rushed over to protect Ji Qian.
“I’m fine. I didn’t expect them to co so quickly.” In the moonlight, they could see dozens of black-clad figures sneaking from the side, blocking their path down the mountain. Their companions were on their way here, and if they hesitated, everyone might be surrounded.
“Master, you, Selena, and Zhang Lin lead the Moon Guards and escort the Bai Mountain Snow Lotus out from the east. We’ll hold off the enemies for you,” Soul Destroyer picked up the Long White Sword. The attackers had only surrounded them with ready crossbows and had yet to strike, but they were thirty in number, while they had split into groups with few around.
“Master, don’t hesitate anymore. These people can’t handle the two of us. As long as you can get away, we can escape too,” Demoness said firmly, taking a signal flare from her pocket, lighting it, and shooting it into the sky.
“Alright, be careful, Selena, Zhang Lin, follow ,” Ji Qian knew hesitating any longer wasn’t an option, and at this mont, she could only trust in Demoness and Soul Destroyer’s strength.
“Demoness, I didn’t expect you to survive from Cold Lake. You have quite a fate,” said the leader of the black-clad figures. Unexpectedly, their altered voice still revealed them to be a woman.
“I advise you not to bother anymore; your minions have already been dealt with. No one will co to aid you here; this is your grave. But if you surrender, I can grant you a way out,” the woman coldly said, tightening everyone’s heart. Could it be that the other Hidden and Moon Guards had fallen? Although the enemy was nurous, there were still over twenty fully ard guards; how could they be eliminated so easily? Ji Qian could only pray internally that the enemy was bluffing.
“Who exactly are you, and why do you keep attacking us to the death?” Ji Qian’s face was solemn as she stared at the black-clad woman.
“You don’t need to know. I’ll give you one more minute. If you don’t surrender, you’ll all die here.”
“Master, go quickly,” Soul Destroyer charged out with all his might, catching everyone off guard, stabbing his sword towards the black-clad woman.
“Attack!” the woman shouted, pulling a dagger from her waist as the blade clashed with the tip of the Long White Sword, sparking instantly.

Dozens of arrows were shot forth, but Demoness wielded her Soft Sword, deflecting the crossbow bolts with its blade.
“Moon God Spell—Falling Stars,” Ji Qian wielded her Magic Wand, utilizing her Main God Skill. Silver lights exploded before the enemies, freezing into ice spikes with the help of the powerful cold force of water elents. In the chaos, Ji Qian led Selena and Zhang Lin and several Moon Guards out of the encirclent.
“Stop them,” the black-clad woman yelled, attempting to intercept Ji Qian but was constantly blocked by Soul Destroyer.
“Who exactly are you?” Soul Destroyer demanded.
“Die,” the woman retorted, swinging her dagger at Soul Destroyer. The latter parried with his Long White Sword, but the woman suddenly launched another attack, slashing at his face with the dagger.
“Damn it,” Soul Destroyer cursed, narrowly avoiding, but a cut appeared on his cheek regardless.
