Nightmare was led by Illusion Fox into a laboratory, filled with various bottles and jars, along with nurous experintal equipnt. These were things Nightmare couldn’t understand. This was Zi Yun’s laboratory, generally off-limits to "unauthorized personnel." Even those familiar with Zi Yun knew better than to wander inside out of boredom. It’s well-known that Zi Yun is a "poison expert," and most of the things inside are certainly toxic. They wouldn’t be foolish enough to go inside, lest they accidentally touch so poison and et their end.
"Can Bai Mountain snow lotus help Ghost regain his mory?" Nightmare saw Zi Yun sitting at the experint table, holding a petal of the snow lotus and dripping so experintal liquid onto it.
"I can’t be certain. I can only say let’s try it. If Bai Mountain snow lotus truly has such magical effects, we must get more and make a fortune," Zi Yun muttered.
"Keep dreaming. We lost so many people just to get this one snow lotus, and I have no desire to return to Bai Mountain," Nightmare bluntly refused. Watching so many comrades die in the depths of Bai Mountain, with their bodies nowhere to be found, filled him with sorrow.
"The loss of personnel was mainly due to attackers. You won’t encounter them again," Zi Yun continued, "By the way, have you investigated those people? Don’t tell you still don’t know their identities."
"If it were so easy to know, I would have eliminated them long ago," Nightmare rolled his eyes.
"True enough. I happen to have so Thousand Spider Poison. You should take it with you and see whose poison is more potent," Zi Yun casually tossed a vial of poison over. Nightmare quickly placed it on the table. Such a small vial of toxin is enough to kill fifty or sixty elephants. If injected into a human, there wouldn’t even be ti to administer antidote; they’d be dead already.
"How exactly do you use this Bai Mountain snow lotus?" Nightmare, curious, asked, looking at the snow lotus on the experint table.
"The essence of Bai Mountain snow lotus is in its stan. I can make it into a pill, and it should work."
"Alright, we won’t disturb you then." Nightmare nodded, grabbed Illusion Fox’s arm, and turned to leave.
"Wait a mont." Suddenly, Zi Yun called out to the two, took out two pills from her pocket, and placed them in Nightmare’s hand.
"The ingredients for Shennong Pill are running low, use them sparingly," Zi Yun said, her tone showing reluctance. Clearly, these Shennong Pills are indeed rare treasures; others may not know, but those in the Netherworld Palace are well aware. Zi Yun has dicine warehouses worldwide, and if even she feels distressed, they must be precious. Nightmare handed one to Illusion Fox, each took one to prevent poisoning again.

After much persuasion from Ye Shikai, Chen Yuxin finally gave up on the plan of nurturing the fetus in Europe. In about a week, their honeymoon trip will end, and they’ll return to Yanjing.
In the eting room, Ye Shikai, dressed in a suit, stood with his back to the door, gazing out the window, checking his watch from ti to ti, as if waiting for soone.
"Sir, I’m late." Before long, a man walked in from the door. Ye Shikai turned to see; it was Nightmare. Shortly after arriving in Yanjing, he received a ssage from Ye Shikai, summoning him secretly to Europe for a personal briefing.
"Good that you’re here, you’ve worked hard, sit down quickly." Ye Shikai beckoned Nightmare to take a seat. The reason for a secret eting with Nightmare was because Ye Shikai didn’t want Chen Yuxin to know about it. If they were in Yanjing, even the best "security work" wouldn’t hide traces from the Chen family. But here in Europe, it’s the territory of the Netherworld Palace, essentially Ye Shikai’s "ho ground."
"Sir, I have already briefed you on the basic situation. However, because there was no Netherworld King Order, I departed only on the sixth day, and there are many things I am unaware of."
"Did Jeddon not take any action?" Ye Shikai hadn’t expected this. If Nightmare’s account was correct, Jeddon didn’t deploy personnel to search and was even obstructive to Nightmare’s actions.
"That...I can’t be certain yet. His claim is he did send people into Bai Mountain, but I haven’t noticed any movent." Nightmare seed unsure too. In the Netherworld Palace, pretending compliance while acting against orders is a serious cri. Firstly, it defies the Netherworld King’s command; secondly, it undermines internal unity. If found out, expulsion from the palace would be lenient.
"Alright, investigate once you’re back." Ye Shikai nodded; the matter hadn’t been clarified, and he couldn’t make hasty judgnts.
"Yes, Sir."
Ye Shikai fell into contemplation. Jeddon had Chen Yuxin’s support, which allowed him to replace Ghost. Therefore, Chen Yuxin likely is aware of Jeddon’s actions; so actions might even require Jeddon to follow her instructions.
If Jeddon truly hadn’t sent anyone to Bai Mountain, is Chen Yuxin aware? Or perhaps Jeddon’s actions are following her orders.
"Sir, are you alright?" Nightmare seed to notice Ye Shikai’s odd behavior and quickly asked.
"Don’t worry, I’m fine." Ye Shikai shook his head; it probably isn’t the case. Chen Yuxin had promised in front of him to save people. Perhaps Nightmare hadn’t seen Jeddon’s dispatched mbers. Ye Shikai knew one thing; although the Netherworld Palace appears united, it’s no longer as it was before. Demoness, Soul Destroyer, and others have long been discontent with Jeddon, and conflicts have arisen. In such circumstances, Nightmare’s sentints toward Jeddon are emotional, speculating Jeddon’s pretense of compliance due to lack of movent.
"The base headquarters has many issues now. With Ghost amnesiac and Demoness and Soul Destroyer stuck in Yanjing unable to leave, I want you and Illusion Fox to return to headquarters for a while, stabilize the situation, and train new Hidden Guards." Ye Shikai communicated his plan. Previously, he hadn’t paid attention, but recalling now, he found the European base headquarters of the Netherworld Palace practically empty. Even the few leaders were just ordinary personnel, barely any combat mbers. If attacked, the situation would be dire. Most critically, Ji Qian had been stationed in the Moon God Temple all along, but now, she too returned to Yanjing. The Netherworld Palace in Europe has effectively lost the Moon God Temple’s support again, and batches of Hidden Guards are constantly being sent from Europe to Yanjing, with many killed in action, requiring replenishnt.
