I never expected that Soul Destroyer still had such a powerful move. Since ancient tis, prideful soldiers are bound to lose, and ever since Bai Mountain was poisoned and nearly died last ti, Soul Destroyer has been holding in a breath of resentnt, vowing to avenge the past disgrace. It didn’t matter whether Lii was in cahoots with the attackers from Bai Mountain.
Under the sword, there is no distinction of age or gender, only enemies.
"Co again." Soul Destroyer thrust his sword following the montum. Xue Ming was an all-rounded cultivator with profound Inner Strength, skilled combat techniques, extrely fast movent technique, and a unique cold power that could conjure frost out of thin air like a water elent. A slight misstep and one would be counter-killed, so Soul Destroyer did not dare to take Xue Ming lightly. However, this action was to rescue Gu Xin; as long as they could delay until the Hidden Guard pried open the iron plate, they could retreat.
Xue Ming let out a cold snort, standing still, causing Soul Destroyer’s eyes to flash with doubt.
Sothing’s not right.
The Long White Sword thrust toward Xue Ming’s chest, but as soon as the sword edge touched her clothes, Xue Ming unexpectedly disappeared slowly from her original spot.
This sword, unexpectedly, struck nothing but air.
"Be careful, it’s an illusion technique." Ghost imdiately noticed the anomaly, mirroring the situation in the stadium before. This was Lii’s illusion technique. Unexpectedly, her illusion technique could also be applied to soone else.
"Fire." The Demoness shouted, pulling out a handgun from her waist and repeatedly pulling the trigger toward Lii on the second floor, alongside the Hidden Guards who also pulled out guns. For a mont, the room was filled with gunfire. Lii sidestepped to avoid the bullets. This illusion technique was indeed formidable; it seed harmless, but once used, not even the enemy at the back would notice.
"Group one, group two, hurry in to support; we’re trapped inside." The Demoness shouted into the earpiece, yet there was no response from the other side.
"Damn it, the signal’s jamd."
"Leave two Hidden Guards to pry open the iron plate, Ghost, you protect Gu Xin. Everyone else, follow ." The Demoness shouted, and the Dark Guards drew their daggers, falling into brutal combat.
"Gu Xin, don’t be afraid. We can get out soon." Watching one person after another fall into the blood pool, even Gu Xin, a nurse, couldn’t bear such visual impact. In contrast, Ghost found it tolerable. Although he lost his mory, he seed familiar with such bloody scenes.
"Such cunning won." Soul Destroyer found himself a bit weary facing both Xue Ming’s cold power and Lii’s illusion technique simultaneously. The combined effort of the two was far more challenging to manage than facing two Xue Mings individually. In the ranks of Western Main Gods, there was also soone adept at illusion techniques, the Goddess of Beauty, Aphrodite.
Soul Destroyer had witnessed Aphrodite’s illusion techniques, much like Lii’s; both deprive the opponent of their target’s position, launching a FATAL STRIKE without the opponent even knowing how they died.
"Damn, these are all just tricks." Soul Destroyer continuously reminded himself that illusion techniques, no matter how deceiving, could be broken as long as the mind stays focused.
"What’s going on? Why are there two Xue Mings?" Soul Destroyer opened his eyes, stunned by the scene before him: two identical Xue Mings were rushing toward him simultaneously.
"Watch your back!" Suddenly, a delicate voice warned, and Soul Destroyer instinctively ducked, feeling a tingling chill as if sothing brushed past. Looking up, he saw Xue Ming herself; the two Xue Mings in front were both illusions, while her true self had been behind Soul Destroyer all along.
"Xue Ming, it seems your skills still need honing." Lii walked over slowly from behind, looking at Xue Ming with a mischievous smile.
"If it weren’t for that woman, Soul Destroyer would have died by my hands just now." Xue Ming glared viciously, staring intently at the Demoness.
"Are you alright?" The Demoness quickly went to Soul Destroyer’s side. It was indeed too taxing for him to tackle both won at once. Without backup, he wouldn’t hold out for long.
"Rest assured."
"You two, do you still want to continue this fight? The Hidden Guards outside have already surrounded you. If you continue, you will undoubtedly perish." The Demoness said coldly. Hidden Guards, after all, are rigorously trained and, even outnumbered, show no sign of disadvantage, especially in close combat where almost every Hidden Guard is a master swordsman, a combat elite.
"Is that so? Perhaps not." Lii clapped her hands lightly, causing several of the villa’s walls to slowly open, with dozens of guards rushing in.
"Damn, so many people." Ghost standing at the entrance couldn’t help but frown. Even if the Dark Guards could take on three for each one of them, they couldn’t handle so many guards.
The most crucial part was that these guards were targeting Ghost and Gu Xin.
"Get lost." Ghost drew a dagger and threw it at the guard.
"Are you guys done yet?" Ghost turned, yelling at the two Hidden Guards behind him.
"Hold on, sir, the iron plate’s almost pried open." Ghost almost cursed outright. The hardness of this iron plate, no, this tal plate, was too much.
"Let handle it." Ghost hurried over, pushing the two Hidden Guards aside. Clinging tightly to the iron plate, Ghost mustered his full strength. If it couldn’t be pried open, it must be torn apart.
"Ghost, can this work?" Gu Xin was terrified as well; a dozen guards were charging at them.
"You two, hold them back." Ghost shouted.
"Yes, sir."
Damn it, why can’t it be pulled off? Ghost saw the iron plate securely welded to the doorway. To tear it open, he would have to... rip the entire door along with the surrounding wall.
Just a bit more, and he could take Gu Xin away. Rembering the days without Gu Xin was more unbearable than death for Ghost. This ti, no matter what happens, no matter what the cost, he must take Gu Xin with him.
"Ahhhhh."
Ghost let out a terrifying roar, unleashing a trendous force in an instant.
Clang!
The iron plate fell to the ground, producing a crisp tallic collision sound.
It was a success.
"Ah." Simultaneously, one of the Dark Guards beside him leaned painfully against the wall, a dagger still lodged in his chest.
"Xin’er, co quickly." Ghost grabbed Gu Xin, pulling her over as the guards closed in behind them.
"Die!" Ghost grabbed a tal rod from the ground, swinging it with one hand while pulling Gu Xin behind him with the other.
"Sir, you must retreat; I’ll cover you." The remaining Dark Guard stood before Ghost.
"Alright, take care." Ghost’s eyes revealed a heavy gaze. This Dark Guard was fully prepared to sacrifice himself to hold off those guards; he would undoubtedly die.
Ghost didn’t want him to die, but if he stayed, both he and Gu Xin would lose their lives as well.
"Xin’er, let’s hurry up."
