“Boss, are you okay?” A few thugs quickly stepped up to lift their leader, and at that mont, the sound of rapid horse hooves approached from the distance. Following the sound, a group of cavalry was charging directly towards them.

“Arrest them all.” Ye Shikai shouted, the war horse charged straight forward, the horse’s head knocking the thugs flying. Man Cang instantly dismounted, brandishing his sword at the thug leader’s neck, while the guards, well-trained, swiftly subdued them. The thugs couldn’t even react before being restrained by Ye Shikai’s guards, with long spears and swords pressed against their necks and heads, terrifying them into silence.
“Ling’er, Master He, are you okay?” Ye Shikai walked up and helped Master He up from the ground.
“Mr. Ye, you’re finally back.” Master He’s eyes welled up with tears upon seeing him. If he had co any later, even if just a mont later, He Linghan might have been in danger.
“Don’t worry, Master He, Ling’er, with here, no one will harm you.” Ye Shikai assured them, turning to give Man Cang a signal with his eyes.
“Understood.” Man Cang extended his large hand, gripping the wound on the thug leader’s palm, lifting him off the ground.
“Ahh, it hurts!”
Man Cang applied pressure to his wound, the intense pain draining the color from the thug leader’s face, sweat dripping from his forehead. Man Cang kicked the back of his knees, forcing him to kneel before Ye Shikai.
“You brat really have a death wish, daring to lay a hand on our Military Marquis’ woman.” Man Cang said bluntly, causing He Linghan’s cheeks to flush.
“What, the Military Marquis’ woman?” The thug leader seed to hear so explosive news, collapsing limply to the ground in shock.
“Pardon , Military Marquis, I was blind, truly didn’t know, offending the Military Marquis’ wife, I humbly ask for forgiveness, for you to be magnanimous and spare .” The thugs kowtowed and pleaded. With Ye Shikai’s current position, even dealing with a few village thugs in private would go unchallenged, let alone these individuals who’ve long needed punishnt for their misdeeds in the village.
“Man Cang, I’ll leave these people to you. You know how to handle them, right?” Ye Shikai said coldly.
“Rest assured, Military Marquis, leave them to .” Man Cang had the guards escort the thugs out of the He residence. By now, Master He and He Linghan had also regained their composure.
