“Uh-huh.” Chen Yuxin smiled and picked up a deep-fried shrimp, indulging herself in eating. Ye Shikai rembered that Chen Yuxin never ca to places like this when she was a child. After all, as the daughter of a wealthy family, she was like a fairy who would not stoop to the mundane world. He wasn’t sure if she could get used to eating this.
“Indeed, it’s quite tasty.” Chen Yuxin said with a smile.
“I’m going to the bathroom.” Wang Kai took a sip of beer, stood up, and said, glancing stealthily at Ye Shikai with an eye signal while Chen Yuxin was lowering her head to eat.
“Perfect timing, I’ll make a transfer for him.” Ye Shikai said with a smile, believing Chen Yuxin would not object to this excuse. Ye Shikai lending so money would not bother her—after all, for soone of her wealth, such a small amount was negligible. Although Chen Yuxin could be quite extre, she understood the principle of giving Ye Shikai face when outside.

“Old Ye, what the hell is going on? Why… why has sister-in-law been swapped out?” The two found a secluded spot, and Wang Kai couldn’t wait to ask.
“Swapped out your head, she’s an old friend of mine.” Ye Shikai, annoyed, smacked Wang Kai on the head.
“Friend, girlfriend?”
“Uh… let’s say childhood sweetheart, but I haven’t seen her for many years.” Ye Shikai explained with so embarrassnt.
“You an you slept with her, then knocked her up, and now she’s co to hold you responsible?” Wang Kai blurted out a string of questions, leaving Ye Shikai utterly speechless.
You might not believe it, but Ye Shikai was nearly seduced by her just now.
“Have you been watching too much TV?” Ye Shikai retorted, “She invited to dinner today and almost put under house arrest.”
“What?” Wang Kai exclaid loudly, then realizing his outburst, looked around guiltily and whispered, “How is that possible, don’t you have any resistance in front of a beauty?”
What amazed Wang Kai was that Ye Shikai, as the Netherworld King, was actually put under house arrest by a woman, a fact he found unbelievable. If Ye Shikai were to go all out, even Zeus would not be able to trap him. So, he misinterpreted Ye Shikai’s aning, thinking that Ye Shikai was rciful and couldn’t bring himself to act.
“I really got trapped, I encountered a strange array that I couldn’t break,” Ye Shikai admitted with so sha.
“There’s such a thing? So your childhood sweetheart is a cultivator?” Wang Kai continued to inquire.
“Yes.”
“So that’s why you sent a text ssage, asking to get you out here, right?” Wang Kai said with a smile.
“Yeah.”
“Ha, Old Ye, never thought you’d have such a day, being trapped by a woman.” Wang Kai suddenly burst into laughter; Ye Shikai’s expression darkened. Now that he had t Chen Yuxin and both were living in Yanjing, if she kept bothering him, how would he face Su Qingyu in the future?
“Cut the crap, help .”
“Cough, later I’ll hold her off for you, you go ho first,” Wang Kai said indifferently.
“Well… Alright, let’s do that,” Ye Shikai thought for a mont, ultimately agreeing.

Ye Shikai drove away in the new car bought by Wang Kai, heading in the direction of the residential area. This rcedes was purchased by Wang Kai upon his return to Yanjing, probably for convenience. After all, he was the Main God and didn’t care about the expense.
After returning from the bathroom, Ye Shikai slipped away by car. He couldn’t imagine what would happen if he stayed with Chen Yuxin any longer.

“Whooosh.” Suddenly, the sound of vehicles speeding past ca from both sides of the car. Two black BMWs, one on the left and one on the right, boxed him in and then blocked his path.
“Screech.” Ye Shikai slamd on the brakes, and the car ca to a quick halt. Before Ye Shikai could understand the situation, two more sedans drove up from behind, surrounding him completely.
“What the heck is this?” Ye Shikai got out of the car to find out what was happening. The four cars clearly ant soone had done this on purpose, but Ye Shikai was not worried; for one, this was Yanjing, he should not have offended anyone here, nor was it likely they would use physical force, and second, if it was an assassination, they would have acted already and not just stopped his car.
A person slowly descended from the sedan in front; Ye Shikai stepped forward and saw it was a woman. When he recognized her face, he couldn’t help but break into a cold sweat.
“Mr. Ye, please.” Chen Ruoya, dressed in black, said to Ye Shikai respectfully.
“Please… what?” Ye Shikai feigned ignorance, laughing and said, “Miss Chen, it’s such a coincidence to et on the road this late, what fate, haha.”
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving.” Ye Shikai said and was about to get back in the car.
“Bang.” Suddenly, a figure flashed in front of him, and Chen Ruoya abruptly blocked him.
“Good grief, you’re quite the martial artist.” Ye Shikai comnted.
“Mr. Ye, our Family Head invites you, she says you haven’t finished your al. Please co back to continue,” Chen Ruoya said with a slight smile, respectfully.
“I’ve eaten enough, my stomach doesn’t feel great, so I’m heading ho, see you.” Ye Shikai suddenly channeled his Inner Strength, broke through Chen Ruoya’s block, and returned to the driver’s seat.
“Thinking of stopping , that’s not happening.” Ye Shikai laughed proudly, sure that Chen Ruoya wouldn’t dare to block him and wasn’t his match.
“Really?” Suddenly, a haunting voice resonated in Ye Shikai’s ear, startling him, sending a chill down his spine. He turned his head and saw Chen Yuxin sitting in the back seat, smiling faintly at him.
“Xin, when did you get in the car?” Ye Shikai blurted out in shock. What was going on? He hadn’t noticed Chen Yuxin’s movent at all; she appeared like a Ghost.
“Heh, shouldn’t you explain why you left without saying goodbye?” Chen Yuxin wrapped her arms around Ye Shikai’s neck, whispering in his ear.
“I suddenly rembered I had an urgent matter, so I went back first, didn’t Wang Kai tell you?” Ye Shikai hastily concocted an excuse, looking at Chen Yuxin’s almost smiling expression, suddenly feeling an ominous premonition.
“What about Old Wang, where is he…?”
“I don’t know.” Chen Yuxin smiled lightly.
“This… is as good as saying nothing.” Ye Shikai was already offering his silent prayers for Wang Kai…
“What about your explanation,” Chen Yuxin smiled faintly, “My ho isn’t in this direction.”
“Xin, it’s too late today, how about I co see you tomorrow, okay?” Ye Shikai urgently tried to deflect, no matter what, he had to get out of here quickly.
