“I just happened to be on another call, so it was busy.” If it weren’t for the public setting, Ye Shikai truly wanted to give Ji Qian a hug.

Ti ticked by second by second. The guests gradually entered the venue. Now, Su Qingyu and Su Pengzhan were behind the scenes. According to the schedule, once the ti ca, the father and daughter would stand on the main stage, and then Ye Shikai would walk in, holding Su Qingyu’s hand. “Hello, who is this?” Ye Shikai’s expression was grave, his tone stiff.
“Mr. Ye, happy wedding day.” On the other end of the phone, a mysterious woman’s voice was heard. Ye Shikai had an excellent mory; he was one hundred percent sure he had never heard this voice before, aning he did not know the person on the other side.
“Who are you? I don’t know you,” Ye Shikai said coldly.
“Is that so, do you really not know ?” The woman’s tone surprisingly carried a teasing edge, seemingly mocking.
“Just who are you?” Ye Shikai was starting to get angry; he didn’t believe anyone would prank him. He gestured to Ghost, signaling him to investigate the source of the call.
“Shh, Mr. Ye, you are so loud, you might scare the person next to .” The woman quieted down, and after two seconds, Ye Shikai heard a familiar voice.
“Who are you?” Another voice ca through the phone.
“Shiqi, what’s wrong with you?” Upon hearing the voice, Ye Shikai nearly blacked out, his heart seeming to be struck hard by a chisel. He might not recognize the voice of the mysterious woman, but Luo Shiqi’s voice was all too familiar.
“I’m fine, don’t worry about …”
“Mr. Ye, I believe you’ve recognized who the voice belongs to. Kidnapping Miss Luo wasn’t easy and cost us a little,” the phone returned to the mysterious woman’s hands. Ye Shikai clenched his teeth tightly, fists clenched, with even traces of blood seeping from the corners of his mouth.
“What in the world do you want?” It took a long while for Ye Shikai to muster the strength to speak.
“Says the man getting married today. How would Miss Luo, being a close female friend, feel about this? Mr. Ye, doing this could hurt Miss Luo’s heart,” the mysterious woman said lightly, her laugh floating through the air.
“That’s between her and , what’s it to you?” Ye Shikai couldn’t help but shout, thankful that the hall was almost empty, or else it would’ve surely drawn a crowd.
“Boss, the wedding is about to start; you should get ready,” Soul Destroyer and Demoness ca over at this ti.
The minute hand on the wall clock pointed to “ten”; it was ten fifty, leaving only ten minutes before the start of the ceremony.
“Miss Luo has been kidnapped; all the Hidden Guards assigned to her have also been killed,” Ghost said gravely, whispering to the pair.
“What?” Demoness exclaid, “Then what do we do? The wedding is about to start.”
“Answer , what exactly do you want?” Ye Shikai roared quietly, his eyes red, forcefully repressing the urge to erupt in rage.
“Mr. Ye, I hope you’ll make a choice.”
“Boss, I’ll go rescue Miss Luo right now,” Soul Destroyer said with a dark face, resolutely turning to leave only to be stopped by Ghost.
“Mr. Ye, if you want to receive Miss Luo alive, then you must co personally. But I guess you will not, after all, Miss Su is still waiting for you in the hall.”
Ye Shikai cursed loudly, resisting the urge to smash his phone to pieces, and forced himself to keep listening.
“Mr. Ye, every move of yours is under our watch. If you don’t want Miss Luo to be hard, co personally, or else…”
“Wait,” Ye Shikai imdiately said.
“Don’t worry, I won’t harm Miss Luo. I wouldn’t dare to offend Mr. Ye’s might. Alright, that’s all for now, since your n have probably pinpointed my location, I don’t need to take any further action. Goodbye.” The woman hung up after finishing her words.
“Bang.” The phone fell to the ground, and Ye Shikai leaned powerlessly against the wall.
“Boss, I promise to bring Miss Luo back safely, please believe ,” Soul Destroyer said firmly. Now, no matter what, Ye Shikai couldn’t leave; the wedding had already started, and Su Qingyu was standing on the stage waiting for Ye Shikai to enter.
“Worm, have you located the position?” Soul Destroyer shouted.
“Found it, in the western suburban area of Yanjing.”
“Boss, wait for to bring back Miss Luo.”
