"Tooth extraction, you’re a sicko." Ye Shikai sneered coldly, turning his head away as the woman in the black veil chuckled lightly, slowly bending down to squat and extend her hand, grabbing Ye Shikai’s mouth firmly.
"You are my defeated opponent now; what right do you have to talk to ?" The woman in black veil said coldly with a laugh, like a master of life, disdaining conversation with those beneath her.
"Had it not been for these monsters, you wouldn’t have been able to beat ." Ye Shikai pulled the woman’s hands apart and spoke angrily.
"When armies clash, all is fair in war. Or have you always fought alone? Are your little brothers rely cheerleaders?" The woman scoffed lightly, pressing the pliers gently, smiling as she brought her mouth close to Ye Shikai’s ear. "Aren’t you curious why none of your little brothers have shown up after all this ti?"
"What have you done to them?" Ye Shikai’s face changed, speaking icily.
"Take a guess. For instance, that man and woman outside are probably entangled with my people by now," the woman in the black veil said with a smile.
"You’re playing with fire."
"Playing with fire? Haha, Mr. Ye, you’re the first one who dares to speak to this way." The woman laughed instead of getting angry after hearing this, Ye Shikai’s threat seemingly having no influence on her.
"Haha." Suddenly, Ye Shikai burst into laughter, his teeth stained with blood looking terrifying.
"What are you laughing about?"
"I’m laughing at you because not only am I the first one to speak to you like this, I’m also the first one to act this way." Ye Shikai suddenly stretched out his hand, and a blaze shot out directly, the temperature reaching 5000 degrees. Even if the flas were not frightening, the temperature certainly was. The woman in the black veil stepped back sharply, and at the sa ti, a smoke bomb erupted, quickly filling the entire room.
"Damn it, watch the windows." The woman in the black veil was evidently shocked by this scene, not expecting Ye Shikai to pull such a move, with the smoke clearly serving as a ans to escape.
"Bang." A loud noise followed, and a beam of dazzling sunlight penetrated as the window shattered under Ye Shikai’s force. Once the smoke cleared, Ye Shikai had vanished from the spot, and Luo Shiqi had disappeared as well...

Yanjing, the highway.
"What’s going on here?" Ji Qian had a bad premonition. She knew full well what the National Security Bureau did. Yet, although they were the Main Gods of the foreign Underworld, in Yanjing, they hadn’t killed anyone nor broken the law, so the National Security Bureau had no right to act against them - at most, they could be deported.
But the term "fugitive" from Tianjing was baffling.
"Damn it, I caused so trouble last ti I was in Yanjing. I didn’t expect these people from the National Security Bureau to follow again, just can’t shake them off." Wang Kai felt sowhat guilty. He knew he shouldn’t have carelessly killed people back then, even if they were just thugs.
"They’re after , don’t worry about it. Just go and save Old Ye now. These people can’t do anything to ." Wang Kai’s expression was grave as he quietly gathered his Inner Strength in his right hand. Indeed, with his strength, even Tianjing along with dozens of mbers of the National Security Bureau might not be his match, especially since this was the highway in Yanjing, a critical area where Tianjing wouldn’t dare to escalate the conflict and cause substantial damage.
"Do you think they set a deliberate trap to catch you?" Ji Qian said coldly. "If they had really discovered it, they would’ve arrested you at customs, not allowing you to run off to the wedding."
"What do you an?" Wang Kai asked, puzzled.
"Never mind, we’ll talk about it later, let’s take one step at a ti." Ji Qian pulled out the car key and turned off the engine.
"Roll down the window. I’m now arresting a fugitive, and I have strong suspicions they are in this car," Tianjing shouted next to the car window.
"Ji Qian, go ahead, don’t worry about ."
"Shut up," Ji Qian yelled thunderously, slowly placing her hand on the door handle.
"Bang, bang, bang." Suddenly, several smoke bombs went off around the car, imdiately engulphing everything in a haze.
"Careful, we’re under attack!" Tianjing shouted as he stepped back, and at that mont, several n in white burst from the smoke with iron rods in hand, pushing back the agents of the National Security Bureau with their swift speed reserved only for cultivators. Tianjing, furious, grabbed one man’s collar, but then a dry, old hand reached out from the mist. Sensing murderous intent, Tianjing instinctively let go, and just as he did, a cane chopped at him from the side. Not daring to face it head-on, Tianjing dodged to avoid the blow and retreated several steps.
"Who are you, daring to obstruct the National Security Bureau in their case?" Tianjing yelled, facing a masked person who, judging by their use of a cane, seed to be an elder.
"Hmph." The masked person didn’t speak, simply attacked with the cane, while simultaneously, Ji Qian and Wang Kai also reacted. Right then, Ji Qian spotted a label stuck on the car window with a word on it:
Run.
Without hesitation, Ji Qian started the car and sped off amidst the chaos.
"Everybody, retreat!" The masked elder said in a low voice, then tossed a smoke bomb to the ground, plunging the area into obscurity once more.
"Stop that car!" Tianjing shouted loudly, as it was clear these people’s actions were all to cover their escape. When the smoke cleared, the white-clad, masked figures had vanished from the scene as if they had never been there.
"Is anyone hurt?" Tianjing cursed, surveying the guards around him. Several had fallen; they were facing cultivators, and even the elite guards of the National Security Bureau were just ordinary people, certainly no match for that group.
"No."
"No."

"Who on earth are those people; how can they be so powerful?" After exiting the highway, the two took a back road towards their destination. Wang Kai looked back, and no one was following them anymore.
"They’re cultivators from the Ji Family," Ji Qian stated coolly, her gaze icy as she looked ahead.
"Yanjing, the Ji Family... Isn’t that your family?" Wang Kai asked curiously. "Were those people called by you?"
"No." Ji Qian coldly denied and shook her head. "I don’t know who dispatched them, nor how they found my location."
"You have such a strong family background, why did you even go overseas to beco a Main God?" Wang Kai turned back, only to see Ji Qian’s chilling gaze fixed sternly on him.
"Eh, let’s not talk about this. Let’s hurry on." Wang Kai acted a bit cowardly. An angry woman was not to be ssed with, especially not a Main God-level one.
