Chapter 651: Chapter 651: Chuanzi’s Gift
“This sheath was forged by craftsn in my family; you better recognize its value,” Iga Kawa said indignantly.
“Thank you for it,” Ye Shikai rembered. The sheath was shiny silver in color, likely not just rare tal, but teorite iron, imnsely solid. The teorite to make a sheath like that would have to be a large, naturally ford piece—a truly rare treasure. With this in mind, no matter how displeased Kawa seed, Ye Shikai believed in her sincerity during this visit.
“Could you co over here? I want to tell you sothing,” Kawa suddenly said shyly. Perhaps because Su Qingyu’s aura was too imposing, even the fearless Kawa seed apprehensive.
“Of course, Qingyu, Anna, please wait for a mont,” Ye Shikai, with a look of apology, smiled at Anna and gestured for Kawa to go ahead.
“Kawa, what did you want to talk to about?” they moved to a corner, and Ye Shikai asked curiously.
“Do you rember the last ti, in the tomb at Atlantis, when you used that clone skill?” Kawa looked quite serious and unsettled, her expression full of worries.
“Yes, it was a critical situation; I had no choice,” Ye Shikai recalled an incident like that.
“About that… I talked to Grandpa, and he asked to ask you…”
“What is it?” Seeing Kawa hesitate to speak, Ye Shikai felt puzzled.
“In our Iga Clan, there’s a secret skill, Clone Skills,” Kawa gathered her courage, “Grandpa asked where you learned your clone skills from.”
“Ah, so that’s what this is about,” Ye Shikai realized. That Iga Chilang sure was sly—no wonder he sent Kawa to attend and even brought such a generous gift upon hearing soone else learned their secret technique.
Ye Shikai had known the Iga Clan from the island nation for years; this relationship started when he first beca the Netherworld King and encountered an unseeing island nation ninja at the Holy Mountain, who he swiftly defeated. Afterwards, he even made a trip to the island, learning then that the Iga Clan was a well-known ninja sect. Back then, the energetic young Ye Shikai had gone to “visit” them, more like half challenging them. After eting Iga Chilang and having a chat, he left.
“Well, let just tell you the truth, I did not learn your Ninjutsu,” Ye Shikai said firmly, “This is Main God Skill, Shadow Clone.”
“Are you telling the truth?” Kawa seed sowhat skeptical—indeed, in the records of Iga Clan, there was no ntion of anyone from the Underworld knowing how to clone, so Iga Chilang’s suspicion wasn’t without cause.
“Of course, although our clone skills might seem similar, the thods of operation and their nature are fundantally different,” Main God’s Shadow Clone uses Inner Strength to form clones, whereas the Iga Clan’s uses Heart Spell.
Theoretically, Netherworld King Spell’s Shadow Clone operates on Inner Strength, aning anyone with Inner Strength can learn it, while Iga Clan’s Clone Skills are exclusive secret techniques accessible only to core disciples. It also appears to be a higher level secret skill requiring talent to master, showing that Iga Clan’s Clone Skills are highly confidential. However, Netherworld King Spell’s Shadow Clone is a unique move of the Netherworld King, taught only to succeeding Netherworld Kings, thus making this Shadow Clone uniquely Ye Shikai’s own.
“Alright then, I believe you. You’re not a petty person like Zeus; I will relay your words exactly as you said them to Grandpa,” Kawa said, then turned to leave.
“Kawa, wait a mont,” Ye Shikai suddenly called out to her, and as Kawa turned around, they locked eyes.
“What is it, is there sothing else?”
“You called Zeus a petty person, so what am I in your eyes then?” Ye Shikai said playfully.
“You? Just a self-important fool with so skills.”
“Pfft,” Ye Shikai couldn’t help but laugh, indeed, Kawa still had a stubborn mouth, trying to get her to complint soone was nearly impossible.
“Is that all? I don’t think that’s really how you feel,” Ye Shikai teased.
“At most… it’s just that you have better luck with won, otherwise how could you marry such a beautiful wife?”
“Cut it out, my popularity with won is known worldwide, that’s hardly news,” Ye Shikai tossed his hair proudly.
……………
At six in the evening.
“Qingyu, all the guests have left, shouldn’t we be heading ho?” Ye Shikai said with a smile. Although they had been married for months, they had not yet consummated their marriage as Su Qingyu wished to wait until the day of the wedding, a decision Ye Shikai respected. It seed tonight was bound to be a sleepless night.
“What’s the hurry? I’m not ready yet,” Su Qingyu knew what Ye Shikai was thinking. She wasn’t unwilling to offer herself to Ye Shikai, but seeing his anxious deanor, she really wanted to tease him a bit.
“What do you an? Aren’t you sticking to your word?” Ye Shikai’s face drooped imdiately.
“Husband, there were too many people earlier, and I was nervous. Could you… propose to once again?” Su Qingyu expressed shyly. Ye Shikai felt sowhat helpless upon hearing this, wondering if all won favored such romantic gestures.
“Alright then,” Ye Shikai finally agreed, as she was his beloved wife.
Ye Shikai picked up the ring, knelt on one knee in front of Su Qingyu, straightened his back, and gazed at her affectionately.
“Qingyu, will you marry ?” Ye Shikai said slowly and with deep emotion, causing Su Qingyu, despite it being a ‘replay’, to feel moved. She slowly stretched out her hand, taking the ring box from Ye Shikai.
At the sa mont, the lights overhead slowly revolved, the bright light illuminating them both. Su Qingyu stood blocking the light with her back to it, and Ye Shikai only noticed the intense light gleaming through her fingers as he squinted.
“Husband, will you put the ring on ?” murmured Su Qingyu.
“Oh… sure,” Ye Shikai adjusted to the bright light and nodded, lifting his head instinctively. However, he noticed a dark pistol mounted on the edge of the light fixture, its barrel aid directly at Su Qingyu’s back.
“Qingyu, get down!”
A gunshot echoed through the hall…
