Zhang Ting was in such urgency that she hastily opened fire. If she had clearly seen Nightmare, she would have realized imdiately that they were subordinates of Ye Shikai. Zhang Ting had never t Jeddon or Short-nosed Crocodile before, but she did know Nightmare. She had encountered him before while capturing Xun Long and during the first arrest of the demon exorcist. However, now the bullets had already been fired.
"Damn, these people actually opened fire." Short-nosed Crocodile swung his dagger, coincidentally colliding with a bullet, sparking off. Nightmare glanced at Zhang Ting; he was equipped with Eagle Eyes and recognized her imdiately, but he did not plan to acknowledge them. A few bullets posed no threat to a cultivator.
"Ignore them, let’s hurry up and proceed." Nightmare said coldly.
"Alright, let’s go."
"Wait, cease fire." At this mont, Zhang Ting seed to realize sothing was amiss and quickly ordered the National Security Bureau ard personnel to stop shooting.
"That man, why does he seem so familiar?" Zhang Ting mumbled, and everyone followed the three ahead, running deeper into the alley.
anwhile, on Ye Shikai’s end, an intense battle was unfolding. The demon exorcist had sohow grown four arms, each wielding a sword, fighting with people from all directions. It seed like there were eyes on his back, as each arm appeared controlled by four separate brains, capable of blocking attacks independently.
"Co on." Ye Shikai’s offensive was fierce, but he struggled to break the demon exorcist’s defense. It was unexpected that the demon exorcist’s true strength was so astounding. If it were a one-on-one fight, Ye Shikai might not be a match for this "Four-Ard Monster."

Tianjing increased his offensive, while the demon exorcist dared not retreat, as Ye Shikai’s Fire Elent threatened from the other side.
"To think there’s such a treasure." The demon exorcist obviously appeared shocked and, scorched by the flas, could only retreat continuously. Surrounded by the Divine Weapon Special Group mbers, he seed montarily flustered.
"Hmph, Mr. Ye, let’s et again next ti." The demon exorcist turned his head and coldly said, as Ye Shikai saw this, realizing he aid to escape. It wasn’t going to be that easy as the sharp sword in hand prepared to charge forward.
Suddenly, a shadow swiftly swept in from above, Nightmare descended directly from the sky with two black halberds aid at the demon exorcist’s head.
"Damn." The demon exorcist appeared to be provoked or perhaps agitated by Nightmare’s reinforcent, raising both arms abruptly and clashing the double swords against the halberds. The halberd’s tip almost touched his face.
"You finally arrived." Ye Shikai relaxed seeing Nightmare’s arrival; timing couldn’t have been better. This undoubtedly sealed the demon exorcist’s escape route. However, the mbers of the Divine Weapon Special Group had faces that didn’t look so good upon Nightmare’s arrival. While Ye Shikai was the Netherworld King, he’d settled into life in Huaxia, even serving as a Dragon Teeth special operations team instructor and aiding in solving cases. Jin Li, Song Tian, and Yan Kuan trusted him, yet it didn’t an other figures from the Netherworld Palace were equally trustworthy, at least not what the National Security Bureau thought.
In their eyes, Nightmare, like Zeus and Poseidon, was a character from the foreign Underworld, hence necessitating caution, but for now, he’s an ally.
Despite differing stances, his strength was universally acknowledged. Nightmare, being the chief among the four battle generals of the Netherworld Palace, was second only to Ye Shikai.
"Sir, we’ve also arrived." Jeddon and Short-nosed Crocodile caught up, forming an encirclent around the demon exorcist.

At this mont, the demon exorcist slowly set his sights on Shen Wu and Phoenix among the eight, as their attack was comparatively weaker and more of a "entangling" style rather than aggressive, offering the demon exorcist an opportunity.
An opportunity to escape.
The demon exorcist abruptly turned around, charging towards the two of them. Phoenix swung the Tang Blade forcefully but was blocked by the demon exorcist’s sword, and Shen Wu wielded her whip, only to find to her surprise that it landed on the demon exorcist’s body without him a care, as he swung two Longswords from left and right.
"Watch out." Tianjing and Jing Xie panicked, dodging swiftly to Shen Wu’s side to block this deadly strike, and the demon exorcist finally seized the chance, kicking fiercely towards them, forcing Shen Wu to hastily cross her arms protectively before her chest.
Bam.
The demon exorcist’s kick directly hit Shen Wu’s arm, her petite form flying like a snapped kite, crashing heavily against the wall.
"Stop him." Ye Shikai commanded imdiately, and Nightmare with Jeddon rushed forth, though the demon exorcist seed prepared in advance, dodging their attack by a step. Ye Shikai activated the Fire Elent, firing a scorching fla skyward, whereas the demon exorcist, determined to escape, bore through the fiery damage, his clothes instantly igniting, revealing burnt skin beneath.
The demon exorcist stepped onto the stone wall, leaping over it, running deeper into the alley.
"Sir, let’s chase after him." Jeddon seemingly reluctant to let go of the "catch," urged Ye Shikai promptly, yet whether it be him or Tianjing, despair lood in their hearts. They well knew, once the demon exorcist vaulted the wall to escape, pursuing him would beco implausible; firstly, the demon exorcist’s speed was swift, and the alley’s terrain complex; secondly, several residents dwelled here, and a widespread pursuit could harm civilians, making such a chase inadvisable.
"No, it’s impossible now." Ye Shikai sighed, exchanged a glance with Tianjing, both feeling regret.
"If it weren’t for you, how could the demon exorcist have escaped?" Jeddon expressed dissatisfaction, blaming the injured Shen Wu and others.
