Simon stepped out of his room while whistling softly. Behind him were the eight demons who attacked him, all staring at him with gazes filled with imnse hatred and anger.

If looks could kill, Simon would have died a million tis over from their stares.

But obviously, Simon did not care about such aningless things from children who were too weak to do anything to him.

He was in a slightly good mood because he got one hundred and three (103) rits in total from the eight fools.

It was very little considering the fact that they were eight in total, but that was to be expected since they had been extorted the previous day.

’I now have a total of 6,478 rits in total. Not bad.’

Simon turned to his right, leaving behind the eight demons in his room.

He was not worried about them doing anything to his room since he had already marked their masks, physical appearance, and aura. If he notices anything strange in his room, he would teach them a lesson or two.

’How much ti do I have left to reach the academy gates? Twelve minutes? Ten? Or less?’

’Tch.’

’Damn those bastards.’

Simon clicked his tongue in annoyance, then he stopped and took a look around.

Because of the fact that he was delayed, his classmates were far ahead of him.

There were a few of his classmates that were not too far away from him, but they were either unconscious or injured.

This was a common scene since getting to the academy gates on ti was usually chaotic.

"I guess I have no other choice."

Simon rubbed the back of his head with a soft sigh, then he walked to the edge of the balcony and jumped into the empty air, causing those who were watching him to exclaim with their mouths wide open.

Simon fell with a whoosh, but his eyes were calm and they flashed with a calculating glint.

Reaching the academy gates was not going to be easy for him for two reasons.

The first was that he had been delayed. Although, he could still make it if he ran with his full speed, that would an that he’d have to expose the fact that he was as fast as a Supre Archfiend to his classmates and those watching in the shadows.

He couldn’t allow that.

The second reason why reaching the academy gates was not going to be easy for him is because of his classmates.

No matter what, Simon was 99% certain that the mont he caught up to his classmates, many of them would want him to fail.

They would rather see him fail and fall, than rise themselves.

He did not fear them, but dealing with his classmates would delay him the more, and the likelihood of them succeeding was actually high in his calculations.

So, instead of taking the risk, he decided to take another risk.

Jumping from above.

The academy grounds was down below, and though he did not plan on reaching the academy by just falling since that would lead to his death.

He would drastically reduce the ti he’d need to reach the academy gates.

All those who were watching him believed that Simon was mad and that he had a death wish.

The open space between both cliff walls had chains, causeways, bridges, and even buildings.

What gave Simon the confidence that just jumping straight down would allow him to reach the academy or close to the academy?

He might be jumping straight into a freaking building or a bridge.

If this was not a death wish, then they didn’t know what else to call it.

If Simon knew of their thoughts, he’d agree that he was mad.

They were very correct in calling him that.

But saying he had a death wish?

That was very wrong.

He did not do things without a plan, and jumping from a height that could kill him was not without a plan.

What gave him the confidence to jump from such a height despite the fact that there were buildings, bridges, and causeways down below?

It was simple.

Sky Eye.

He had a clear vision of between 6-7 kilotres below, and he had already seen the path to take. A plan and layout was already mapped out in his mind.

Grab

As he fell, Simon suddenly held onto a massive chain with his hands glowing with demonic energy.

The chain swayed and so did he, but he held on with a calm and indifferent expression.

When the chain slowed down a little bit, he swung himself to the top of the chain, then he began running on it.

So seconds later, he jumped down again, and this ti around, he landed on a bridge.

The fall was short, and coating his feet and legs with demonic energy prevented him from sustaining any injuries.

He ran to the side once again, then he jumped to an opposite causeway, then fell to a smaller chain.

He grabbed it, swung to another chain, fell to the roof of a building, jumped to another building, then jumped off the roof and fell into the space between the cliff walls.

He kept on doing this for nearly four minutes, causing those who were watching to be stunned.

Was this truly a First Year?... They could not help but wonder.

Eventually, the entrance of the academy ca into Simon’s view. The two Velaris statues were reflected in his eyes, and Simon shifted his gaze toward Instructor Valdin who was also looking at him.

The distance between them was quite far but the class instructor had noticed him.

Because the path he had taken was unusual and different from his peers, he had drawn Instructor Valdin’s attention and also the attention of his classmates who had arrived earlier.

Two minutes later, he got to the causeway that led to the academy entrance, and six seconds later, he arrived at the academy entrance and stood amongst his early classmates.

He arrived on ti.
