Instructor Valdin allowed his words to sink into the heads of his students.
Instructor Valdin knew that many of his students were not yet used to life in the Shadowgrave Clan because it was vastly different from the life they were used to and the environnt they used to live in.
He knew that so of his students were still lackadaisical about growing stronger, learning, and so on.
So even believed that they needed no training, and he wanted all of them to understand the importance of the courses taught in the academy.
Instructor Valdin exhaled softly, then he continued teaching.
"Demonic energy is not ant to be thrown away like sparks from a fire or like clothes."
He looked at his students one by one.
"It is ant to be directed."
He raised a hand and curled his fingers slowly.
"Inside your Demon Heart, you have your Chaos Fla. Your Chaos Fla is the source of your demonic energy, and when you draw demonic energy from it, it flows through your demonic pathways."
A faint stream of demonic energy flowed from his palm as he spoke.
"If your control is poor, your demonic energy would spread through your entire body."
The energy flickered wildly for a mont.
"You lose precision, and you are using more demonic energy than necessary."
A second later, Instructor Valdin’s demonic energy tightened into a thin, steady stream.
"But if your control is precise, you direct it only to where it is needed."
"To increase your control of demonic energy, you need to learn how to direct not only the demonic energy that’s flowing from your Demon Heart to let’s say- your fist- you also need to direct the remnant demonic energy that flows to other parts of your body."
He closed his fist.
"If you’re able to do that. Your strikes becos faster."
He stepped forward and threw a short punch through the air.
A sharp burst of pressure blasted out of his fist, blowing the clothes, hair, and several other material of the First Years to the back.
So cursed, so scread, while so had eyes filled with awe.
Simon remained sitting with the side of his head still resting on his fist.
Not even clothes or hair was blown by the pressure of Instructor Valdin’s punch.
His entire body was coated in a dark erald-orange light, which prevented the wind pressure from affecting him.
Sunless glanced at him with a flicker of surprise behind her mask.
She had also done the sa thing, but so of her hair was still blown away by the pressure of the attack.
’Just how high is his control over demonic energy?’
It was at this mont that she realized that the gap between her and Simon in terms of controlling demonic energy might be more than she initially believed.
So also noticed the ease at which Simon ignored the pressure, and even Instructor Valdin saw it.
He didn’t expect Simon to be able to completely ignore it, but he didn’t dwell too much on it.
He already knew how absurd Simon’s demonic energy control was, and it was why he t with the principal to make so changes to the titable.
The gap between Simon and his peers in terms of controlling demonic energy was just too wide.
He needed to reduce that gap.
Only five seconds after he released the soft punch, and when he saw that the students had gottent themselves, he continued teaching.
"And your techniques beco stronger."
He extended two fingers, releasing a thin wave of demonic energy around his fingers.
He approached the stone pillar, then he slowly made a cutting motion on the edge of the stone pillar.
Gasps of surprise and disbelief echoed in the classroom as the students saw a deep cut on the pillar.
He had used his fingers to cut a piece of the pillar.
"And most importantly..."
He looked back at them with a faint smile.
"You stop wasting power."
Instructor Valdin snapped his fingers, and in the next mont, runes on the tables of every student.
Transparent crystal spheres appeared above the runes, and inside these crystal spheres was a small floating red fla of demonic energy.
Many looked at these crystal spheres and those sitting close to them in confusion.
"These are ember spheres," Instructor Valdin said, explaining to the ignorant children.
"They will be your first test."
Everybody looked at Instructor Valdin in confusion.
"I cannot practically guide you on how to control the output of your demonic energy. You’ll need to do that on your own. It requires a lot of practice and effort."
"The flas in the ember spheres are very sensitive to demonic energy, and they’ll be used as a tool to improve your demonic energy."
"I’ll give you a brief demonstration. It’s rather simple."
Instructor Valdin snapped his fingers, and an ember sphere appeared in front of him.
He held it, then he looked at his students.
"You feed the ember, which is the fla, your demonic energy."
Instructor Valdin poured his demonic energy into the ember, and the fla grew slightly larger.
"To pass this test, you must make the ember to be the size of three fingers. If it’s smaller, you fail. If it’s bigger, you fail."
The fla suddenly flared upward when he added too much demonic energy, then it shrank again when he reduced the demonic energy flowing into it.
"Too much energy..."
The fla burst violently, nearly reaching the edges of the crystal sphere."
"... and the ember destabilizes."
Then he reduced the inflow of demonic energy until the fla weakened.
"Too little..."
The fla nearly vanished.
"...and it dies."
He stopped injecting his demonic energy into the ember sphere, and the fla grew back to its original size.
He turned toward the class again.
"As you can see, once you stop transferring your demonic energy into the ember sphere, the fla would grow back to its original size."
Many curiously looked at their ember sphere, wondering if they could do it.
"Why don’t you guys give it a try." Instructor Valdin said.
