Instructor Valdin took his ti explaining strokes and so basic runes to the class.
He nearly used thirty minutes teaching this, then he spent even more ti teaching the class how to draw a stroke with their demonic energy in the air.
The stroke was like the letter ’J’, and everybody believed that it was easy to draw such a simple stroke in the air.
But when Instructor Valdin went around and t the Initiate’s one by one, he ruthlessly told them how poorly and highly inefficient the stroke they drew was.
For so, the straight line was bigger than the curve, or vice versa.
While for so, the curve was too long, or the curve was not even a curve but two straight lines joined together.
Many students believed they had done the right thing, but only a small percentage of the class actually drew a good stroke.
Simon was one of them, and his was obviously the best drawn stroke in the class.
Why?
Because of energy control.
This was another situation where Simon’s classmates saw just how important having a good level of energy control was.
Instructor Valdin also explained to the students why everything he taught them on Output Control, Input Control, and Flow Stability was very important even when it ca to runes.
He spent quite so ti teaching so students who had drawn the "J" stroke unsatisfactorily, but just needed a little bit of improvent to be properly drawn stroke for it to interact with the world.
As for the others who drew absolute rubbish, Instructor Valdin did not bother with them and only told them to improve their energy control in their private ti.
After this, instructor Valdin also gave them a few tips and advice on what they should do when drawing strokes, and what books they should read to gain more knowledge.
Then, he announced the end of the class.
"Before the next class, I want all of you to be able to draw this stroke to at least 60% perfection. Those who fail in doing this would be punished."
So of the Initiates gulped in fear the mont they heard this, and everybody realized that Instructor Valdin was the type who loved to give them assignnts with deadlines unlike the other instructors.
"I’ll talk briefly on formations and arrays, and the relationship between chaos elental energy and demonic energy in the next class."
"I know that so of you already know one or two things about these topics, but I’ll advice you not to miss out on this class. You might learn a thing or two."
Simon’s eyes flashed when he heard this, and a tinge of interest could be seen in his eyes.
"This is all for today. See you all tomorrow."
Instructor Valdin turned and left the classroom, giving the initiates the freedom to finally speak amongst themselves.
’The classes of the Shadow Pillar are interesting and helpful, and I’m relieved that Instructor Valdin is not completely biased like that wall gecko.’
’It would be a real sha to not learn about chaos runes.’
Simon stood after having these thoughts, then he stretched lightly and twisted his neck, causing soft popping sounds to drift in the air.
He looked at Sunless who had been staring at him.
"Is there a problem?" He asked with a raised brow.
Sunless remained silent for a mont, then she answered.
"Will you keep your end of the deal?"
Simon nodded. "Yeah. As long as you’re strong enough to do what I asked you to do."
Sunless furrowed her brows slightly.
"I won’t overexert myself more than I want to."
Simon’s lips curled into a smile behind his mask.
"Don’t worry. You wouldn’t have to."
Sunless nodded, and Simon left after giving her a slight nod.
She watched him leave the class, and her lips curled into a light smile behind her mask.
’I guess it’s ti to go shopping with Akaza.’
Simon stood outside the door of their classroom, then he activated his Grave Mark and sent a ssage to Akaza.
Just as he did this, his ears twitched, and he felt a slight disturbance in the wind behind him.
It was extrely close, and he could not help but frown because of this.
He took a step to the side, and in the next mont, a figure stumbled right in front of him.
Simon calmly observed the figure as he stumbled and tried to balance himself.
At a glance, Simon knew that this huge classmate of his wanted to bump into him on purpose with enough force to make him fall while also causing pain to his shoulder.
However, because Simon had stepped to the side at the last mont, his classmate could not stop himself from stumbling forward.
’I don’t seem to know him.’
When Simon saw that it was not Jorra, rath, or Sunless, he lost interest in this huge classmate of his.
He glanced to his left, and he saw that another three of his classmates were watching the scene.
’Seems they’re together.’
He didn’t have ti to waste, and he was not interested in extorting his classmates or teaching this particular huge classmate of his a lesson.
He raised his leg, then he kicked his ass.
"Argh!"
His classmate scread as he fell faceflat to the ground.
He had just gotten his balance, but Simon’s kick forced him to completely fall to the ground.
"Shit."
He cursed and was about to stand, but he suddenly felt a weight on his ass, then his stomach, then his back, and then his head.
"Hmmmm!!!"
He wanted to scream in pain, but he couldn’t because his face was in the ground, and he knew what just happened.
Simon had walked on him like he was walking on the re ground.
When he looked up, he saw Simon walking in front of him without a care in the world.
The three initiates who ca with him had wide eyes when they saw this.
This was not how they envisioned this scenario to go.
anwhile, the big initiate was filled with anger and lots of embarrassnt since it was not only his three friends that saw what just happened.
’Damn it. Damn it. I’ll kill you, slave!’
