After the brief introspection Simon had, he dived straight into transforming the Mind Wave technique.
And to his surprise, it took far longer than he expected to modify this basic technique.
However, in his defense, he successfully modified this technique more than four tis.
Whenever he transford the Mind Wave technique into sothing else, he would always find sothing he could improve on, sotis he’d figure out a better way to improve a part of the technique, or just sothing else entirely.
It took him over two hours to finish upgrading and transforming the Mind Wave technique into a technique he was satisfied with.
And it took him another hour to create another ntal technique from the Mind Wave technique.
Night had fallen, and Simon’s room was dimly lit by the amber fla of a single lantern on his wall.
Inside the lantern is a set of runes that forms the fla as long as Simon injects it with his demonic energy.
And in his dimly lit room was a sight that would terrify humans and would make so demons to take a step back in confusion and fear.
Protruding from Simon’s face- his left and right cheek to be exact- were six tentacles with holes at their tips.
These tentacles were black. They were also ethereal but at the sa ti, they looked solid enough to seem like they were actually ant for the real world.
The black tentacles looked like they were made out of rubber and not flesh or bones, however, they were actually made out of Simon’s ntal energy.
They stretched, bent, coiled, and twitched in the air, making Simon’s appearance to seem utterly terrifying.
This was the second technique he created, and he called this technique, the Mind Wave Tentacles.
What this technique does is very simple.
It shoots out compressed Mind Waves like a gun.
Although the Mind Wave Tentacles acted like a gun, the compressed mind waves it fired does not have a penetrative force like actual bullets.
Once a compressed mind wave was fired and it successfully hits the barrier of the target’s sea of consciousness, it would cause shockwaves across the barrier.
If the barrier was weak or if too many of the mind waves hit the barrier, a part of it could shatter and the sea of consciousness could be damaged by even more mind waves.
The Mind Wave Tentacles technique was an advanced ntal technique Simon created from the Mind Wave technique, and Simon decided that this technique and many of his ntal techniques were going to be his trumpcards.
As for the original Mind Wave technique, Simon decided to change the na to sothing simple.
Advanced Mind Wave technique.
His eyes were closed as the tentacles on his face moved.
A few seconds later, his eyes opened and another black tentacle shot out from his forehead at an extrely fast speed.
When it stopped, its tip was nearly touching the door, and it could have gone further if Simon had used more ntal energy.
He recalled back the central tentacle, and it retracted itself back into Simon’s forehead.
Simon looked at it as it entered his forehead, then he shook his head slightly.
’Still can’t believe that I’m creating weird techniques like this. Tentacles on my face? I would have never thought of doing such a thing at all.’
He smiled wryly, then all the tentacles on his face retracted themselves back into his sea of consciousness.
"The ntal energy consumption would have been very high if I didn’t make the tentacles to be able to retract themselves back into my sea of consciousness."
He closed his eyes and held the space between his eyes.
Sigh
"Funny how the Eternal Mind Zoo technique took far less ntal energy compared to how much ntal energy I used to modify a basic technique."
He shook his head slightly as he released another sigh.
"Well, it couldn’t be helped. I did a lot of trials and errors, so I had to use up a lot of ntal energy."
Although Simon was saying all of these, he had a feeling that when he decides to use the Eternal Mind Zoo technique, its consumption rate would be higher than the consumption rate of the two techniques he just created.
He decided to lie down on his bed and rest for so ti.
He crossed his legs and placed one of his arms under his head as he looked at the ceiling.
He began to recall all the ntal techniques he had learnt in the last six hours.
’Because of the advantage I possess when it cos to my sea of consciousness, the Mind Path seems to fit a lot, but it’s honestly a very difficult and dangerous path.’
’I don’t know how powerful these techniques would be when I finally get to use them, but I can’t use them as normal attacks.’
’It takes a long ti for my ntal energy to recover, and unless I sleep, my ntal energy recovery rate is very slow. And the lower the quantity of my ntal energy, the more difficult it would be for to think.’
’The ntal Path is a powerful path, but it’s not a path that’s ant for many individuals.’
Simon closed his eyes and turned to lie down on his side.
’I was planning on learning the Eternal Mind Maze after learning Mind Wave, but I unexpectedly spent more ti on Mind Wave.’
’Well, I’m satisfied with the results, so I can’t complain much. Maybe I’ll do it tomorrow if I have the ti.’
Because he had gone through the book of the Eternal Mind Maze, he knew that he would need a lot of ntal energy and ti to learn and create this technique.
However, he had actually used up over sixty percent of his ntal energy to create Advanced Mind Wave and Mind Wave Tentacles, so he had very little ntal energy left.
As for ti, he guessed that he had about four or five hours left before he and his classmates were woken from their sleep.
If he chose not to get enough sleep, then it would affect him for the life and death duel.
So, he chose to sleep.
’Hahhh... Now I rember, didn’t I encounter a maze in the Divine Realm of the Gods in my past life?’
’Can I replicate it and use it for the Eternal Mind Maze?’
