Simon’s mind went on instant overdrive the mont he saw the corpses in his room.

He did not bother asking himself how the corpses of the Grey Pact were in his room since the security of his room was nothing much.

As long as one was strong enough or skilled enough, they could break down his door or enter.

And he also did not bother asking himself who placed the corpses in his room because he already knew who.

’First Blade and Caesar.’

Simon could vividly recall when First Blade teleported the corpses of the Grey Pact to a far away location, and if he was right, the old bastard had teleported the corpses to his room.

What Simon was trying to figure out was what else Caesar had planned.

What was going to happen next.

How should he react?

And did the interrogator also play a part in this.

Simon had an uncomfortable feeling about the interrogator. The interrogation itself was too short to be called an interrogation, and the Velari was too lackadaisical and relaxed when asking him questions.

Simon believed that the interrogator was probably placed there by Caesar to waste his ti.

Maybe it was to plant the corpses in his room, or maybe it was for sothing else.

But Simon strongly believed that the interrogator was placed by Caesar to waste his ti.

Simon looked around with a cold and sharp gaze, and when he saw no suspicious demon, he quickly entered and shut the door.

He carefully listened to the wind and used Shadow Sense to make sure that there was nobody hiding in his room or there was nothing suspicious in his room.

’Nothing?’

Simon’s expression remained grave, then he looked at the corpses laying next to one another on the ground.

Simon carefully looked at the corpses, then he carefully approached them.

’Did Caesar put a bomb or sothing inside? Or have they beco undeads?’

Simon stood in front of Vexa’s corpse, then he used his foot to shake her shoulder.

No response.

Simon’s frown deepened.

He was about to take a step, but his expression drastically changed when he perceived through ShadowSense that a group of demons were approaching his room.

These demons were powerful, and all of them were Greater Demons.

’Three of them.’

’It seems Caesar plans to fra like I thought. They should be the Shadow Enforcees or worst of all... The Shadow Inquisitors.’

Despite sensing the auras of three Greater Demons, Simon remained calm.

He looked at the corpses, and he could see the claw marks and fist holes in their bodies.

Nurous thoughts went through his mind, but none of them was for him to escape.

Where would he escape to?

He couldn’t also hide the corpses because Caesar must have tipped off the approaching demons that there were corpses in his room.

If he did, the situation would just beco a lot worse.

’Should I burn them with the chaos fla of the Chaos Blade?’

Simon’s eyes flashed with this thought, but at the end of the day, he decided not to.

He could sense that one of the Greater Demons was observing him intently from outside, and if he used the Black Flas, the demon would definitely notice the absence of the corpses.

So, Simon turned and faced the door with an utterly calm expression.

Three seconds later...

Bang!

His door was blasted open, and it flew in his direction with a force and speed that could injure him.

Simon’s eyes flashed with a cold light.

He coated his right arm with his demonic energy, then he punched the door back to where it was.

He was about to take a step forward, but his instincts suddenly scread at him and he stopped.

In front of him, he saw the tip of a sword slowly split the door in two, causing both halves to crash into the wall.

However, Simon ignored the door and looked down.

Less than an inch from his neck were two daggers, and if he had moved, these two daggers would have cut his neck without hesitation.

Simon frowned, then he looked back at the entrance of his room and saw a Greater Demon standing at the entrance with a sword in his left hand.

The Greater Demon was dressed in a long black robe that covered all their physical features, but Simon’s eyes was glued on the mask of the Greater Demon.

The Greater Demon was wearing a plain black mask without eye holes or mouth holes, and on the mask was the word- GRAVE.

The ’GRAVE’ had a crimson colour, making it to look like it was written with blood.

’The Shadow Inquisitors.’

Simon’s expression beca even more solemn since the situation was now even more serious for him... Though he already expected this.

He turned to his right and left, and he saw that the last two Greater Demons who held their daggers close to his neck also wore the sa clothes.

Plain black clothes and a black mask that had the blood-red word- GRAVE- on it.

The Shadow Inquisitor that was standing at the entrance shifted their gaze from Simon to the corpses.

After a few seconds of a deep and tense silence, the Inquisitor finally spoke.

"So it’s true."

He looked at Simon.

"You killed your teammates."

Simon frowned.

"I did-"

Bam!

Cough!

The Inquisitor to his right punched Simon’s waist with the physical strength of a Greater Demon, causing Simon to nearly cough out a mouthful of blood.

"And who said you could speak?"

Simon gasped for breath, then he glanced at the Inquisitor who punched him.

However...

"Who gave you the authority to look at with such a gaze?"

BAM!

The Inquisitor punched him in the exact sa spot with even more of his strength.

Simon could not help but cough out a mouthful of blood.

Cough!

Cough!

He was injured internally, but Unholy Regeneration started consuming his demonic energy to heal his injuries even without his permission.

’Damn it. This is why many fear and hate the Inquisitors. They’re rough, brutal, and they can kill without facing the consequences.’

’I’m lucky they haven’t killed .’

Just as Simon had this thought, the Inquisitor standing at the entrance of his room spoke.

"For killing five mbers of the clan, you will be taken to prison and you would be tried. Do you have anything to say, Broken Halo?"

Simon looked at the Inquisitor with cold eyes, and with a cold tone, he responded.

"No."
