Ch.213 Reverse Face-Slap (1)
That day, Qiao Moyu filmed according to the new play script. She didn’t say anything.
In the evening, she had dinner and received Ye Peicheng’s call.
His voice was gentle as he spoke, “Moyu, everything was successful today?”
Qiao Moyu responded, “It’s pretty good. I’ve been doing better now. A lot of my scenes are passed after one try. There are only a few scenes where I need to film twice.”
Ye Peicheng plimented, “Moyu, you’re amazing!”
Besides her, there was a soft child’s voice. “Mommy, you’re amazing!”
Qiao Moyu’s heart softened. She chatted a bit with Luo Luo before she said to Ye Peicheng, “Thankfully you’re Luo Luo’s dad!”
Ye Peicheng smiled and asked, “Why?”
Qiao Moyu responded, “Otherwise, I need to earn money and film. I don’t even have time to look after Luo Luo!”
Ye Peicheng sighed and said, “Don’t film dramas that are too far from here. Only accept the ones nearby!”
Qiao Moyu said ok and asked, “You’re so picky. What if we have no money?”
“I’ll raise you.” Ye Peicheng said seriously. “Moyu, my work has been going successfully, more than what I expected. Once I’m done with this project and the weather isn’t that cold in spring anymore, let’s hold our wedding, ok?”
Qiao Moyu was frozen.
Ye Peicheng said deeply. “Why? You still want to run away despite sleeping with me numerous times?”
Qiao Moyu’s face turned red. “God, you’re so annoying!”
Ye Peicheng laughed happily. “When the time es, make a swallow-tailed coat for Luo Luo. He will be the page boy at the wedding.”
Qiao Moyu thought of that scene and was eager for some unknown reason. “Ok!”
“Mommy, Luo Luo has a good friend in kindergarten. Her name is Ni Ni. Can Luo Luo invite her to be the flower girl?” The little boy asked.
Qiao Moyu immediately agreed. “Yes! Luo Luo, you can invite as many friends as you want!”
The little boy was happy when he heard it. Yet, Qiao Moyu squinted her eyes and asked, “Brother Ye, you like to invite girls when you were young?”
Ye Peicheng immediately claimed he was innocent. He said, “This must be a change in genes!”
Qiao Moyu laughed then said something else. “Brother Ye, do you think it’s important if I bee the Film Empress or not?”
She promised the original host. Plus, this was a very good chance. If she missed it now, who knew when there would be another good script she liked.
She knew that if she told Ye Peicheng about the script, he will definitely help her.
But he just entered Ye Group and his position in the group isn’t steady yet. There were many shareholders setting their eyes on him. Once Ye Peicheng does anything out of hand, they will definitely make a big deal out of it. Then, all the hard work Ye Peicheng had done will go to waste. Shareholders’ trust to him will bee non-existent.
That meant that he would be destroying his career for herself. She couldn’t do this to him!
Ye Peicheng didn’t know what Qiao Moyu was thinking. He thought that she just purely wanted to succeed. Therefore, he said, “Moyu, whether you can obtain the award or not, I approve of your hardwork and acting skills, speaking from a professional perspective. So, you just need to do your best. Don’t feel pressured!”
Qiao Moyu responded, “Ok.”
In the end, she didn’t say it.
A thousand miles away, Ye Peicheng hung up and played with Luo Luo for a while. Then he went to his study and continued to work.
When he finished working, it was already very late.
Luo Luo was already asleep. Ye Peicheng went to his room to look at him. When he returned, he thought of what Qiao Moyu had asked him.
For some reason, he was uneased.
Although they hadn’t been together for a long time, he knew that Qiao Moyu had a great state of mind. She calmly solved her problems and wasn’t the type of person that would be disturbed by her problems for a long time.
But when she asked him this, she didn’t mention this when they just started chatting about the crew. Instead, she did it after. This meant that she hesitated before deciding.
