She took her backpack from him, gave him a smiling wave, and walked into the compound.
The mont she disappeared into the compound, his gaze turned cold. As soon as he returned to his building, he imdiately made several phone calls.
Master Nathan overheard his phone conversations but didn’t interrupt. Only after Nathaniel had hung up did he speak. "The Kane Family has always been arrogant and domineering, throwing their money around. The arrangents you’ve just made will cut off all their escape routes. Nathaniel wasn’t surprised by his grandfather’s reaction. In his youth, Master Nathan had been a fiery character himself. The safety of his family was his ultimate line in the sand. From the looks of it, Master Nathan had already accepted Vera’s place in the family.
He said calmly, "Vera said she wants to deal with those Kane Family scumbags herself. To keep her happy, I could only defang them and pull their claws, lest they hurt her."

Nathaniel said flatly, "Did you doubt my judgnt before?"
Master Nathan cleared his throat. "Well, it takes ti to get to know soone. I’m very pleased with Vera now!"
