Vera Xavier seed startled. She trembled as she said, "But you already disowned in front of everyone at the hospital today. You also said you wanted to divorce my dad. I’m staying with my dad, not you. So, you’re not my mom anymore."

Rona Langdon, already seething with rage because she couldn’t tear into the young thugs, leaped up to attack Vera Xavier. Instead, she accidentally clawed the Civil Affairs Bureau clerk standing next to Vera.
