Vera Xavier was a little surprised. She turned to look at her grandmother, who nodded at her and winked.
She understood at once. After this incident, even if Cara Preston pushed all the bla onto Rona Langdon, soone with her grandmother’s wisdom was bound to see through her tricks. Moreover, her grandmother didn’t want her to beco disheartened with the Preston Family over the matter, so she had summoned Mrs. Xavier directly to take Cara away.
