"I’ll go wherever you go," Alistair Forrest replied matter-of-factly, a faint smile playing on his lips.

Alistair Forrest didn’t get angry. Instead, he just smiled and said, "Is that so? Then I’m even more eager to et your Third Brother!"

Vera Xavier had finally had enough. She stepped out from behind Aaron Cheney and said, "It must have been quite a trip for you, Mr. Forrest, coming all the way from Marinus to Trellis. I assu you’re here on business, to procure jade. The three of us are just here for fun. If you’re willing to stand here and waste ti with us, then by all ans, we’ll keep you company."

Her aning was crystal clear: if he insisted on following her, she would simply stand still. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with him.

In reality, he would never have co to a jade auction with only two bodyguards. Several expert stone assessors were nearby, and they had already selected the raw stones. They needed him to go over and give the final approval. He didn’t actually have ti to follow Vera around.
