"We have no future! Everything you’re doing now is pointless!" Li Buyan continued, "I don’t believe you’ll stay by my side every mont of this lifeti. One day, I’ll leave you! Never see you again!"
Li Xingle’s heart ached, his motion to bandage her wounds slow, his voice hoarse, "Do you really not want to see ?"
"No!"
"Then why do you still look at now?" he said bitterly.
Li Buyan closed her eyes, turning her cheek away.
She hadn’t turned her head even after Li Xingle finished bandaging her.
The air still reeked of blood. He squatted by the bed, staring intently at her profile for a long ti.
"Never want to see again?"
"No!" The answer was decisive, leaving Li Xingle no room for reprieve.
"Then you’ve disappointed. I will appear before you all the ti, beco your nightmare, making you unable to escape even in your dreams!" He rose with the dicine kit, "Rest for a while."
Despite his reluctance, his steps were hurried as he left.
In the car, the cabin was filled with the sll of smoke.
Li Xingle still had a cigarette in his hand, outside the car window, the ground was littered with cigarette butts.
His mind was filled with images of Li Buyan - laughing, crying, resolute, silent.
No matter the image, he wanted to be by her side.
If he let her go now, what were these more than three years of waiting for?
What were his efforts for?
All for a lifeti with her.
Yet she didn’t even want to look at him.
"Cough, cough..."
How long has it been since he smoked? He was actually choked.
Gripping the steering wheel tightly, his hand veins bulged prominently, looking sowhat nacing.
Little Li...
Little Li...
Little Li...
——
Li Buyan was not asleep in the room, just lying on the bed. No one called her. The room was pitch black, she didn’t know what ti it was now, and didn’t want to get up.
Until——
The sound of knocking ca from outside.
"Madam, are you awake?"
It was a woman’s voice.
Even though Li Buyan had only been here for a short ti, she knew there were no won here!
"Awake."
The servant pushed open the door and turned on the light, "Dinner is ready. Will Madam eat in the dining room or here?"
"What about him?"
"Sir is not here."
Li Xingle is not here?
"I’m not his wife, nor his girlfriend. Don’t call Madam!" Li Buyan got up, "I’ll eat outside."
Li Xingle usually stuck to her constantly, yet he left?
She noticed there were two more servants in the villa, and of course, at the gate and other places, there were more bodyguards.
Suddenly, she wished it were just the two of them. At least then, if she managed to deal with one person, she would have a chance to leave.
Now, she had no way to deal with so many people, so many eyes, and countless hidden caras.
After dinner, she sat on the sofa watching TV, calm and beautiful.
On the other side, Li Xingle stared at the screen, watching the transmitted footage of her waking up, eating, taking a walk. Realizing she couldn’t leave, she sat back on the sofa to watch TV.
Li Xingle drank, to be precise, he was already drunk.
After more than three years without drinking, the taste of alcohol was still so satisfying. At least, it made his heart feel less painful and less oppressed.
Li Buyan waited until ten, Li Xingle hadn’t returned.
Maybe, he wouldn’t co back tonight.
So, she got up and went upstairs.
