With the resonant call of the Water Separation Essence, ripples ford on the surface of the spring.
An almost imperceptible ripple spread from the center of the spring, quickly enveloping the entire volcano crater, causing the ground beneath to tremble slightly. The water’s color gradually turned crimson, like molten iron, and the steam made the surrounding water mist thicker.
"Let’s go."
Though the spring’s temperature was not yet as scorching as its color, Lin Guang knew what was about to happen. Ignoring his sowhat fatigued body, he took large strides back to the shore, casually threw on a robe, and, along with Vishdair, ascended the steps, reaching the highest point of the volcano’s mouth, with the Golden Birch Forest within close reach.
Looking out, the twilight glow was like blood, shining upon the volcano’s crater, as if the entire land was soaked in deep red.
"What’s happening? Is this volcano going to erupt?!"
Following beside Lin Guang, Vishdair, still wrapped in a towel, lowered her head to peer into the volcano crater – seemingly having grown familiar with Vishdair, the little fox jumped onto her shoulder, curiously stretching its head to look down as well.
Inside the crater they had co from, what was once clearly visible was now shrouded in dense water mist, making it impossible to see. But anyone could sense that, at this mont, a great, earthbound power was gathering, accumulating, with the earth’s faint tremor like a giant beast in hibernation attempting to awaken, attempting to open its eyes.
She was a bit astonished—she had thought the big would be very big, as Lin Guang had said, but hadn’t expected it to be this imnse—slightly furrowing her brow, she turned to look at the fuzzy boundary of the field spread by the Water Separation Essence: "Should we leave?"
"Or do you have another plan?"
"Don’t rush."
"What’s about to happen is not a catastrophic volcanic eruption."
Lin Guang explained.
He exhaled slowly, lightly flicking his wrist, and Vishdair suddenly noticed countless fire attribute ether light dots, like fireflies across the sky, beginning to swirl around.
But unlike the volcanic environnt on the field, they did not coalesce into a firestorm surrounding Lin Guang but instead obediently, even gently, swirled around him.
Like... a small stream.
"The Water Separation Essence, even among the rare class of Spirit Beast known as natural spirit entities, is special because it can unite two seemingly opposing ethers, achieving harmony between water and fire."
"Fire attribute ether has many properties: high temperature, instability, wildness...etc. In modern Spirit Control theories, many believe it symbolizes a state of things, not rely fire energy."
Lin Guang explained to Vishdair unhurriedly while gently brushing his right hand through the red light dots, as gentle as flowing water.
These elental spirits, supposed to be violent, did not make Lin Guang feel the scalding heat at this mont, only warmth.
"It has unfolded a field, changing the characteristics of the ether nearby, thus achieving controlling fire like water."
"And what’s next is..."

With Lin Guang’s words, the volcano crater lit up.
The Water Separation Essence floated up, erging from the mist, entirely blue yet glowing with a hot red radiance. As it breathed and cried, the blue and red within it, water and fla, gradually intertwined, like the rhythm of nature.
The next mont, it suddenly transford!
The silhouette of the Water Separation Essence abruptly blurred and decomposed, then unexpectedly transford into a giant fla, dozens of ters in diater, slowly ascending.
Yet this fla was not the burning fla people would understand; if looked at closely, its finest parts were composed of droplets as fine as water mist.
Flas composed of water gathered together to form a giant flower of water and fire, appearing crystalline and transparent.

"It’s coming! Focus your mind!"
Lin Guang widened his eyes, light representing the Equal Contract glowing imdiately on his hand, as he grasped Vishdair’s left hand, already awe-struck.
Their minds once again seamlessly connected, both watching the spectacle about to unfold.
The next mont, the power accumulating in the volcano reached its peak, and a giant pillar of fire, over twenty ters in diater, erupted from the volcano’s base, striking the massive flower of water and fire!
Instantly.
The true eruption began!
The roaring and rumbling sound was like the stampede of ten thousand horses, causing even the ground beneath to tremble violently.
Is this explosive as fire water?
Or gentle as water fire?
All they could see was the imnse column, indistinguishable as water or fire, shooting skywards against the surge, penetrated by the joyous and satisfied cries of the Water Separation Essence, piercing the heavens!
BOOM!!!!!!!
The thick cloud layer above the volcano couldn’t dodge in ti, being pierced through by a large hole, and only then did the light column finally cease, exploding at its peak.
The falling flowers, numbering into the billions, slowly fell, transforming in the air into glorious flas.
They flickered like flas, yet were blue and clear, fully integrating the two diatrically opposed attributes of water and fire, falling onto the land, into the hot spring... But a significant portion of them, under the Water Separation Essence’s control, fell upon the boy and girl... and the little fox, creating layers of red ripples, like the earth’s heartbeat.
"Truly... spectacular..."
The two and the fox raised their heads, eyes fixed on the skyward column of light as if entering a mysterious state.
And indeed, that was the case.
In Lin Guang’s initially calm dark golden Sea of Spirit, monstrous waves were now surging.
At this mont, an inspiration sprouting from the deepest part of his heart filled Lin Guang’s mind, urging him irresistibly to create.
So, he gathered all his Spiritual Power and began to freely sketch in a blank space. Unlike the neat Artificial Spirit Pattern beside, the Spirit Pattern Lin Guang now drew was so wild and unrestrained, with no hint of restraint or rule.
The shape of that Spirit Pattern resembled a transparent fla made of water.
This is the kind of encounter in the Spirit Battle Chronicles, an existence known as a "spectacle."
Those with outstanding understanding might, after witnessing this magnificent natural spectacle, comprehend the profound truths of nature and express it through their perception, known as "Natural Spirit Pattern."
Of course, the benefits of "spectacle" don’t end there. So higher-level spectacles might even provide Spirit Beasts with permanent or semi-permanent attribute enhancents or further evolution, among other things.
A long while.
Only then did Lin Guang finish sketching the Spirit Pattern in his mind, exiting that state, his eyes regaining focus, exhaling deeply as he checked the newly flashed system notification.
