A cabinet on the side displayed various dals and certificates—stuff he’d originally glanced at briefly, only to realize they were anything but simple. Doctor Kaiwen seed to be a Researcher and Miracle Master.
Lin Guang didn’t know when Doctor Kaiwen would finish the surgery, so he looked around the room for a while and found a dical kit. When he returned, Vishdair was sitting on a consultation bed, legs crossed, staring idly at the photos on the wall.

The wound was one centiter wide and five centiters long, with the flesh scraped and turned by the backward-facing spikes of the earth spirit child’s earthy thorn, looking a ss. Fresh blood flowed over her foot, contrasting starkly with the whiteness, a jarring sight.
Lin Guang didn’t flinch but calmly began cleaning sand and dirt from around the wound, then took out sterilized cotton balls soaked in special Plant-type Spirit Beast fluid for disinfection.
Focusing on the wound, Lin Guang didn’t notice that when his hands touched Vishdair’s blood and wound, her expression slightly changed, watching Lin Guang’s movents in sudden silence, the toes of her left foot gripping the shoe tightly yet no longer resisting.
Perhaps the disinfection process caused pain, or perhaps she was overwheld by sothing else into silence.
"I’m sorry."
Amidst the silent treatnt, Lin Guang’s sudden apology broke the quiet.
"If I could have been quicker, I might’ve given you ti to react."

Vishdair seed to co to her senses, scoffing, "In Kazdail, this doesn’t even count as a ’wound’; I’ve suffered countless injuries far worse than this."

Lin Guang gently said, "I only need to observe the enemy’s command and make judgnts, whereas you have to personally enter the field, engaging bodily with enemies. The level of danger isn’t comparable; I must do better."

Lowering her head, Vishdair looked at Lin Guang, seeing nothing extraneous in his dark eyes, only her reflection.
"...Just don’t hold back in the future."
She murmured softly, shifting her gaze away.
At that mont, footsteps approached from the doorway, prompting Lin Guang to release Vishdair’s foot and stand up.
The door swung open.
A woman entered the room, appearing around twenty-four or twenty-five, though the enhancent of Spiritual Power could rejuvenate the body, making age judging from appearance alone impossible.
With shoulder-length short hair under a pure white coat, a light green dress underneath, her height boosted above 1.7 ters by high-heeled boots, comparable to Lin Guang, her face was delicate yet expressionless, calm to the point of eeriness, yet inexplicably familiar to Lin Guang.
The na "Kaiwen" was written on her na tag.
Lin Guang quickly said, "Hello Doctor Kaiwen, my partner is hurt. Could you please treat her?"
Kaiwen turned her head, glanced at the wound Lin Guang had preliminarily treated and disinfected, then lifted her eyes to Vishdair, rose, and walked to the inner room. Shortly, she returned with a glass test tube containing black ants with large mandibles, each the size of a fingernail.
"Do you know how to use it?" she suddenly asked Lin Guang, her voice, though still slightly aloof, significantly gentler than her expressionless face.
"Ah, no problem."
After a brief pause, Lin Guang extended his hand, taking the test tube from Kaiwen. She turned and sat at the desk, picking up a pen.
Grabbing a wooden chair to sit before Vishdair, Lin Guang said, "Lift your foot and put it on the bed."
"What? Can these things heal a wound?"
Survival on the land of Kazdail required vigilance towards unfamiliar things. Although disgruntled, Vishdair mumbled a complaint but still did what Lin Guang instructed.
