When Columbia was just founded, many families and dream-driven individuals from Syracuse flocked to that undeveloped land, striving to make their fortunes.
In other words, it was almost equivalent to colonizing a New Continent.
And Chelina’s grandfather was one of the most successful among them.
He led his family to strive on that newly erging land, showcasing the Texas family crest and becoming a very prominent family.
But he firmly rembered his origins, insisting that he was a Syracuse man and demanded all family mbers adhere to the Syracuse rules.
Due to his decision, the Texas Clan still maintained its position as one of the twelve most prosperous families in Syracuse.
And Chelina Texas was born into this family, both fashionable and ancient.
She was talented, showcasing extraordinary abilities since childhood and was entrusted with significant responsibilities by her grandfather upon reaching adulthood, shuttling back and forth between Columbia and Syracuse.
Her grandfather hoped she would represent his will, diating among various powers to open a Source Stone trade route linking Syracuse and Columbia.
Source Stones are considered the origin of everything across the Terra Continent; such expectations are almost akin to those placed on an heir.

They each held their own views, focused on the overall picture, argued their points vigorously, and headed for a rift, but they never cared about what Chelina really thought.
They rely stubbornly imposed their will and possibly non-existent "love" onto Chelina.
The grandfather might have valued and loved her more than the father, but the Syracuse he valued, those families and forces, and the so-called honor, in Chelina’s eyes, were nothing but a disgustingly hypocritical cesspool that made her utterly sick.
Maybe her father saw her as a tool, but his desire to separate from Syracuse and establish his own branch could also be what Chelina internally agreed with after witnessing Syracuse’s hypocrisy.
Who was right and who was wrong?
Chelina didn’t know.
