The three little foxes whined as they ran into a thicket of hot red shrubs on the shore, their large tails wagging incessantly.
This area occupied nearly a third of the valley space and was connected to the outer Fire Maple Forest, a region inclined towards the Fire Attribute known as the Fla Land.
Though it was a land of flas, it wasn’t barren. Instead, many Fire Attribute trees grew, low in height, with leaves shaped like flas, and bright red translucent "Fla Fruits" hung from the branches.
In spots where the shrubs didn’t grow, small and nearly invisible hot streams erupted intermittently from the exposed rock crevices, heating the air to a point of slight distortion.
A few Fire Patterned Foxes lounged lazily on the flat stones, their orange-red fur with magma-like patterns flowing, the tips of their tails sparking with tiny flas.
On the opposite side of the lake was an Ice Crystal Forest, with snow-laden tree branches crystallized with transparent icicles, refracting a rainbow of light in the sunlight.
The ground there was covered with snow that seed never to lt, and clusters of blue Tier One Spiritual Material, Frost Heart Grass, peeked through the snow, its leaves naturally adorned with snowflake-like patterns.
A few snowy white Snow Mist Foxes played and leaped amidst the trees, their fluffy tails sweeping the snow and leaving winding traces, their fur dispersing tiny ice crystals into the air, forming a hazy mist.
Clearly, the mist from earlier was the work of these foxes.
But the most significant feature was beside the area where the waterfall descended, in a spot without any apparent attribute inclination.
A forest bearing various colored fruits and the rock cliff behind the forest.
Here was also the place where the most foxes gathered.
The exposed rock wall was dotted with caves of varying sizes, seemingly carved out with so kind of physical skills, their edges adorned with sparkling crystals of various minerals that shimred under the sun with a strange glow.
Many foxes were there licking the mining crystals.
That seems to be... mixed with Ethereal Crystal... rock salt?
Even Vishdair was dumbfounded by this wondrous sight, clicking his tongue in amazent: "How does this landscape co to be?"
"Geothermal heat, sure, but snow? Where does it co from?"
"It must be skills and traits,"
Lin Guang explained: "Unlike wild animals that can only adapt to the environnt, Spirit Beasts can change their environnt."
"If it were a Beast King above Tier Six, just living in one place would radiate power that transforms the ecology to suit it."
"Though there’s no Beast King here, there’s quite a large clan of Fox Spirit Beasts that can do sothing similar to a degree."
"I suspect we’re only seeing a very small part of this clan."
Don’t be fooled by their wild nature; Spirit Beasts with ’Spirit’ in their na are naturally more intelligent than ordinary animals. For intelligent types like foxes, they know to deliberately collect seeds of Spirit Plants with similar attributes and plant them around their nests, supplenting with skills to create a more comfortable environnt.
The collaboration between the Fire Maple and the Snow Mist Fox from earlier clearly plays a part in this strategy.
Of course, all this assus the place offers benefits that justify defying nature to forcibly alter the environnt.
For this group of foxes, it’s likely a high-tier Fox Spirit Beast, living in the high-tier Spirit Beast’s territory provides safety, and this allegiance and cohabitation also enhance the high-tier Spirit Beast’s power, potentially making it the Leader of the Clan.
After explaining, Lin Guang reached out to stroke the girl’s head: "Lisa, does this look familiar?"
