Song Zhenzhen also heard those words.
She was so angry she couldn’t even eat.
"What kind of people are these."
She slamd her chopsticks on the table: "I’m not eating, I’m full of anger."
Anning handed another pair of chopsticks to Song Zhenzhen: "Eat quickly, it’s not worth starving yourself over this."
Song Zhenzhen, puffed up with anger, asked Anning: "Aren’t you angry?"
Anning smiled: "No, I’m not angry. I have a clear conscience; let others say what they will."
An Xin whispered to Anning: "Ningning, let publicize your charity work, I’ve gathered all the materials, it won’t take long and everyone will know you were wronged."
Anning responded to An Xin: "There’s no rush to announce it, store the materials for now, and we can publish it later."
"Why?"
An Xin didn’t understand: "That’s too suffocating for you."
Anning chuckled lightly: "I don’t feel suffocated, I actually find it amusing. Right now, many people are slandering , later, those sa people will regret their actions, the sha is not on ."
An Xin thought about it and agreed.
She was especially looking forward to when Anning’s charity work would be publicized; what would the people who wronged Anning feel, and if Yu Anjing would be squeezed out?
Yu Anjing was almost insanely happy.
The protagonist’s halo that had been stuck at fifty percent was now growing rapidly.
When the protagonist’s halo stopped growing at sixty-five percent, Yu Anjing had to struggle to not burst out laughing.
She could imagine how many people in the school were starting to disdain Anning, especially Wei Haoxuan and Ge Yiming, these two must be fed up with Anning by now.
In the past, these two were utterly devoted to Anning, even when Anning married soone else, they still thought about Anning, cared about Anning, they would help Anning without hesitation.
But now Anning’s right-hand n had been cut off by her, and moving forward, Anning would face opposition from all teachers and students, she would be drowned in gossip, the thought made her elated.
Yu Anjing decided to find more flaws in Anning and attack her.
She was also looking forward to Xie Minglang’s arrival, it would be another spectacle.
Anning heard idle gossip all day.
That day, Wei Haoxuan treated her even colder, his gaze when looking at her was chilling to the bone.
And Ge Yiming stopped Anning after school to say so things, Anning acted as if she hadn’t heard, ignoring him completely.
Anning left the school gate, carrying her backpack and slowly walked towards ho.
She had only walked a short distance when she saw a tall man with long legs, and a great physique approaching her.
"Classmate, could you help with sothing?"
The man lowered his head to look at Anning, purposely tipping his baseball cap to let Anning see his extrely handso face.
Anning squinted her eyes slightly, then quickly put on a surprised expression and nodded eagerly: "Sure."
A hint of disgust flashed through the man’s eyes: "Could you take to..."
He ntioned an address, Anning thought for a mont and pointed in a direction: "That place is not close, I’m afraid I can’t take you there, I’ll tell you how to get there, you can go by yourself."
The man was montarily stunned but then flashed a smile: "Alright."
Anning detailed the address to the man, then took out a notebook and pen from her bag: "Could you give an autograph?"
The man took the notebook and pen, quickly signing his na.
Anning smiled and waved goodbye to the man before leaving with her backpack.
The man, watching her leave, curved up the corner of his lips.
Once Anning was far away, he couldn’t help but snicker: "The last piece has appeared, the show is about to start."
An Xin danced joyfully: "Hurry up and start, I can’t wait anymore."
Upon returning ho, Song Zhenzhen was grabbed by her mother.
"Zhenzhen, what exactly is going on with Anning?"
Mrs. Song sternly asked Zhenzhen: "Did she do that on purpose? Why involve so many people and clash with parents?"
Song Zhenzhen threw her backpack and shouted angrily at her mom: "Mom, what do you an by that? How could Anning have done that intentionally? Do you think the clinic’s doctor is also lying for Anning? You people are just gullible, taken by any rumor."
Mrs. Song’s anger deflated by Zhenzhen’s outburst: "Everyone is saying so, and our family isn’t even as well-off as the Yu family, yet you still get a lot of allowance. How much have you saved over the years? Anning surely can afford als."
"Who said she can’t afford als?"
Song Zhenzhen shouted louder: "She’s upset and can’t eat, and besides, she has been studying very hard lately, working late every day. Living alone, she not only has to do household chores but also deal with many troubles. She’s still so young, how can she withstand everything?"
Mrs. Song thought carefully and felt that made sense.
Anning is even more delicate than Song Zhenzhen. If Song Zhenzhen were to live alone now, she would definitely ss up her life, not to ntion Anning.
"I was wrong then."
Mrs. Song, being generous, admitted her mistake and apologized: "I guessed wildly. I handled this wrongly, and I won’t repeat it."
Song Zhenzhen didn’t really want to have a serious grudge against her mom; she was just upset on behalf of Anning.
"Mom, Ningning is already suffering enough. I’m her good friend; I should support her. We’ve known each other since middle school; I know her best. I can’t doubt her just because of a few comnts from others."
After so thought, Mrs. Song appreciated Song Zhenzhen’s words and her attitude.
"You did great, Mom was wrong, and as you said, I watched Ningning grow up too, I should understand her character and not hurt her over a few comnts from others."
Song Zhenzhen smiled and hugged her mom: "Mom, you’re the best."
She felt her mom was far better than Anning’s mother.
Xiao Yuan sat in the Xiao Family’s group division office in Moon City; after looking over a few docunts, he called over Secretary He.
"What’s the situation with the Thirteen Middle School forum?"
Secretary He spoke softly, "I’ve already had soone look into it; those comnts were spread by Yu Anjing."
He added, "When Miss Ning left Yu ho, she truly had no money. She borrowed money for her rent from Mr. Bai, and other than a few clothes, she took nothing from the Yu ho, not even the computer she frequently used."
Xiao Yuan furrowed his brow: "Have soone post this information on Thirteen Middle School’s forum, and also investigate Miss Yu’s matters more carefully."
After Xiao Yuan finished instructing, Secretary He said: "I’ve been having people check into Miss Yu’s affairs. It turns out that since she could rember, she has been engaged in charity work. Over the years, she’s donated quite a lot, both under her own na and on behalf of her family. She also buys things for orphanages and nursing hos, volunteering her ti."
Secretary He’s words increasingly reflected his sympathy for Anning.
The more he investigated about Anning, the more he felt that this girl was truly exceptional. Having grown up in the world of fa and fortune and encountering various people, he had never seen soone as transparent and genuinely altruistic as Anning.
